1960 Volkswagen Bug
Start with a restored VW with 26,000 miles with a two tone interior
and stock painted wheels. Upgrade the interior to a stunning
Two-Tone Blue & White! Then chrome the original steel wheels,
rebuild the brakes, transmission and engine, slight drop to front
end, and add the resto luggage rack. End result is an awarding
winning 1960 VW BUG with 28434 miles or 2434 miles since
completion!
Restored to a show quality! Stunning blue paint and all new chrome
makes this VW a showstopper! The two-tone white and blue vinyl
Interior are all new. All rubber and weather stripping has been
replaced. Upgraded chrome steel wheels & hubcaps with VW logo give

The 4-cyl. 1200cc with manual transmission runs like a dream. Front
Suspension: Kingpins with transverse torsion bars and upper/lower
trailing arms Rear : Swing axles with trailing arms and torsion
bars. Brakes are period correct and new, original hump style gas
tank has been retained. All new wiring harness as well.
The 1960 Type 1 VW Bug has some remarkable features. We can
recognize the 1960 VW Beetle with a large rear window. Main changes
in 1960 recessed steering wheel for safety, steering damper,
steering box is worm-and-peg instead of worm and roller, generator
increased from 160 to 180 watts (26.5 to 30 amps), outside door
handles now push button (was pull type), padded sun visor, seat
back re-contoured, Wolfsburg Crest on front hood has less color,
last year for semaphores in Europe, Canada, Australia!
The 1960 Volkswagen Beetle measures 60.60 inches in width, and
160.20 inches in length, and has a wheelbase of 94.50 inches. Even
the smallest of garages can fit a VW Bug with room to spare.
