Vehicle Description

All vehicle trades considered including classics and performance.  We can assist with financing and transport as needed.

The 1932 Ford has always been a favorite amongst car enthusiasts, and its design still looks great a full 90 years later.  And while there are plenty of examples out there, very few can compare with this one.  This well-built roadster is loaded with features.  Highlights include a stow-away convertible top, power windows, air conditioning, supercharged engine, overdrive transmission, 4-wheel disc brakes, hidden audio system with subwoofer, electric trunk, keyless ignition, remote start, and more.  There is even a hidden hitch receiver with brake controller.  But further, this Deuce is also brimming with flexibility; top up or down, rear exhaust or Zoomies, hood / side panels / fenders on or off, or any combination thereof.

This project was completed in 2015 and has 3,000 miles since.  The build spanned several years and is fully documented with many pictures and several folders of receipts.  The car uses a Downs fiberglass body along with steel side panels and front fenders.  The hood is also steel and features a dual hinge assembly.  The attractive tri-color paint scheme features scallops on the side covers and blends nicely with the black convertible top.  Speaking of which, the top folds away behind the seat where it is completely hidden, without any handles, snaps, or mounts and giving a true roadster look.

The chassis is also from Downs and has been fully painted and detailed.  All the welds have been smoothed out as well.  It is equipped with an independent and fully adjustable front suspension along with a triangulated 4-link in back.  There are also adjustable coilovers all around.  The car also has power 4-wheel disc brakes from Wilwood and a steel fuel tank from Tanks Inc.

The drivetrain consists of a 350 ci Chevy motor topped by a Weiand 4-71 supercharger.  This is a pump gas setup that has the perfect blower sound.  The engine also has aluminum heads and a full roller valvetrain along with an MSD ignition.  Note all the engine accessories and bracketry have been modified to fit within the confines of a 1932 hood shape.  The transmission is a 700R4 automatic overdrive unit which feeds a Ford 9” rear with 3.55 gears.  There is a conventional ceramic coated dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers.  There is also a set of Zoomie headers that give an entirely different look and sound.

The interior is clean and crisp.  The seat features custom upholstery from Wise Guys Seating and has both recline and lumbar functions along with dual seat belts.  Note how the dash is completely smooth except for two gauge pods.  The turn signal indicators have been incorporated into the tilt steering column support.  The Vintage Air unit features full heat, air conditioning, and defrost functions thanks to custom vents in the dash and below.  There is also a center console with pushbutton controls on the side.  There is a remote controller for the hidden audio unit with a JL Audio amplifier and Pioneer speakers / subwoofer.  There is also a 10-function remote control to operate the doors, windows, trunk, decklid, and remote start.  Note all these functions are available on the car as well using redundant relays.

There are so many other things to talk about.  The taillights were done using rotated chevrons that operate sequentially.  There is a compact, lightweight battery from Braille along with an Optima charger / tender.  The interior has Hushmat sound deadener throughout.  LED courtesy lights operate from both doors.  The ignition uses a keyless setup like a modern vehicle.  There is an electric flip-up license plate in back along with a hidden Class II hitch receiver with brake controller.  Documentation includes a full wiring diagram (all wires are numbered), a CD with build pictures, folders of receipts, and an appraisal for $137,890.  Also note the car is titled as a 1932 Ford.

Obviously this one has a lot to offer.  Along with all the items mentioned above, there is craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout.  This results in more than just good looks; the car feels like a production vehicle on the road and can be driven confidently at highway speeds (or more) all day long.  It all comes together as a very special, completely unique 1932 Ford.
