Vehicle Description
HIGHLIGHTS: Factory SS car! Super clean streetable custom! Black on
tan! 454V8, TH400 transmission, power front disc brakes! Factory
A/C! Hotchkis tubular upper control arms! Sweet cruiser!
BODY OVERVIEW: The body on this El Camino is nice and straight!
Built to be a high-quality weekend cruiser, it's no surprise how
well this car turned out. Every body line is defined, and this car
really pops!
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: The paint on this El Camino is slick and
smooth like calm water. The glossy black paint job really makes
this thing a show stopper, and showcases how straight the body is.
The paint has been kept up since it was built, and looks much more
recent than it is. Save for some minor imperfections as shown in
the photos, the paint is in great condition. This thing is a head
turner!
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The tan vinyl interior is a fantastic
contrast to the exterior color, and really helps this car stand out
in a crowd. The interior is in nice, ready to go condition and much
like the paint it still looks new, though it is showing some minor
signs of normal age and wear. The interior retains a mostly factory
stock look, though it has been augmented with a nice aftermarket
steering wheel, a custom speaker box behind the seat, kick panel
speakers, and a Kenwood stereo with a Kicker EQ in the
glovebox.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Where to begin? Under the hood is a 454 big
block Chevy V8 equipped with Edelbrock aluminum heads, a 4-barrel
carburetor, and a GM A/C compressor. The 454 purrs like an
irritated kitten, and the TH400 transmission shifts just right!
Last but not least, this El Camino is also equipped with power
brakes, including disc brakes on the front and chrome 20"
three-piece wheels. Finished off with dual exhaust,
Flowmaster-style mufflers, and chrome exhaust tips, this thing is
ready to rip up the streets! Plus it has power steering!
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: Is 'everything' an option? Because
that's probably going to be the case. The way this car sounds and
drives is the best part by far!
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: If you're looking for a fresh
out of the paint shop, show car, this at one time was it. But it
has been a few years since the restoration and while it may not be
a trailer queen, it still stands tall as a great, high-quality
driver that you could be proud of!
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? The speedometer works, but is not
accurate.
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? This car is for someone who
doesn't mind attention! If you want something unique that doesn't
appear "crazy custom" to the naked eye, this is definitely it!
