This particular 1972 Datsun 240Z has been the recipient of an
extensive and highly detailed restoration. Accompanying this 240Z
are numerous restoration receipts and service records dating back
to 1984. The high quality restoration made it possible for this
240Z to be awarded the Gold Cup award at the 19th International Z
Car Convention held in Dallas, Texas, scoring 286/300. This
fantastic 240Z, also, won first in its class at this show, beating
out another Gold Cup award winning 240Z. Powered by its numbers
matching 2.4 Liter inline 6 cylinder and backed by the sought after
4 speed manual transmission. The great performance from the
overhead cam L24 was nicely matched up with a fully independent
suspension, that was rarely seen when the Z car was first
introduced. This Z car runs and drives just as it should and how it
was tuned to perform. Stopping power comes from the power front
disc brakes. The excellent black interior was restored to factory
spec, with the exception of an aftermarket stereo, but the car
comes with a factory AM/FM stereo. The bucket seats were nicely
upgraded to leather from the factory vinyl. The red exterior is
also in excellent condition, as well as the exterior chrome and
stainless trim. The exterior is further complimented by period
correct 240Z side stripes and an excellent set of Panasport mini
lite style wheels. Some great options featured on this 240Z
include: cold A/C and power antenna. This meticulously maintained
