This 1947 Ford Pickup has that cool look of a rat rod street
machine, but the deeper you dig, the more you see it's a thoughtful
total package everywhere from the well-done color coordination to
the fully independent suspension. And of course, there's plenty of
V8 power to put on display.
Matte black always sets the tone right for a mean machine, but it's
the details that you'll really love. For example, the cream color
on the firewall matches the wheels and stripe on the cab. It's even
one of the two colors used for all that custom pinstriping. So
while you have plenty of rat rod style with the aged wood in the
truck bed and the amalgamation of different components, the full
build has a deliberate and uniform quality. It's in the way the
whole package fits together so crispy while it lays aggressively
low on the frame.
This continues to show off its rat rod sensibilities with the
license plates in the door panels, F-100 trim for a shifter, and
welded dash with a touch of pinstriping. There's even a small
lowrider steering wheel. But there are also more of those useful
and thoughtful touches. After all, many rat rods will give you lawn
chairs for seats, but this has late-model buckets that offer much
more comfort. And the full gauge package is always nice for a true
A street machine like this means you have some serious power to put
on display. This classic Ford has one of the blue oval's largest
motors ever. It's a 460 cubic-inch big block. It has been enhanced
with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, MSD distributor, MSD coil,
and MSD ignition. And those lake pipe headers make sure this mighty
big block makes a mighty rumble. While this is a great power
package, there are also thoughtful pieces to make it a nice
all-around driver. You have a three-speed automatic transmission,
power steering, power brakes with front discs. There's a fully
independent suspension with adjustable coilovers in the rear...we
bet you didn't think you'd get that on a rat rod, right?
This is that cool kind of pickup where it looks aggressive to
spectators, and those who dare get closer see how thoughtful the
full package is. So if you want a mean look and that's also a solid
driver, call today!
