This MK II underwent a high-quality respray in a color-change Old English White. Its lustrous finish has a deep shine and looks almost showroom-fresh.
The chrome and stainless are in excellent condition and nicely compliment the paint.
And, with the exception of the front jacking points area, the body and underside of the car appear to be generally free of rust and/or corrosion.
The seat upholstery is black leather that has all been replaced and is in spectacular condition. The gray headliner looks fresh and houses the sun visors in a slight indentation that was characteristic of the early MK IIs.
The wood trim throughout the cabin is in very good condition and conveys that note of sporting elegance that the car is known for.
The engine is the 3.8 liter upgrade that was rated at 220 hp. The engine starts right up and provides the power that made these cars so potent on the race course.
The transmission is a replacement 3-speed automatic. It shifts properly as befits such a car.
From the leather seats to the rare air conditioning, this MK II wraps sportiness in luxury.
The radio has been upgraded to not only AM/FM but also to enable access to music stored on your phone, while also allowing one to charge their phone and answer calls hands-free.
The recently-installed air conditioning allows one to enjoy driving this classic all 4 seasons of the year in total comfort. As part of that addition, the battery was re-located to the boot for ease of access.
