For Sale: 1957 Ford Fairlane in Mooresville, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

HIGHLIGHTS: Mild custom that will catch you off guard! Kept largely true to original form, tasteful upgrades include Ford 428 V8, Ford C6 automatic transmission, and front disc brakes!

BODY OVERVIEW: A fairly recent restoration, the body on this Fairlane is very nice as this car properly disassembled and restored. An old photo album in the trunk shows that this car was taken apart, and a restoration began. The body and trim have been kept in original style and look great!

PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: One sure sign of a recent restoration is paint condition. Older restorations will eventually show normal signs of use, such as nicks, scratches, etc. but this car looks almost as if it was painted last week!

INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The interior condition is very similar to the paint condition in that the majority of it looks fantastic, though some original components were reused. While these components are in good condition, they do show some aging in comparison to new items such as the seat covers.

MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: The 428 V8 not only gives this car plenty of power, but it also gives this car a bit of a surprise for anyone unsuspecting. From the exterior, this car is very subtle, but it's a runner! This Fairlane sounds great, and the 428 simply purrs through a set of dual glasspack mufflers. The front disc brakes are a welcome upgrade, and although it does not have power brakes this puppy can really stop!

WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The fact that it retained all of its original design elements, but is hiding a healthy amount of power under the hood.

WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: If sleek and subtle is not for you, this car may not be a good choice. Additionally, this car does not have power steering which can be a turn-off for some buyers.

DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? Although you could be cruising this car tomorrow, it does have some minor items that are not operational including the horn and wipers. Additionally, a radio antenna was not installed after paint.

WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Someone looking to relive their 1960s/1970s teenage experiences in a car that is prettied up and dialed in!
