For Sale: 2012 Aston Martin DB9 in Lavergne, Tennessee
Those who know Aston Martins also know that special words mean very
special cars. That's why this 2012 Aston Martin DB9 Sport Edition
Volante should get you excited. It's believed the Sport Editions
are not officially promoted through regular channels and are for
their loyal customers. So not only are you looking at a low-mileage
and ultra-luxurious V12 drop-top, but also this one is marked as
#59 of only 60.
Power, beauty, soul - it's the mantra of Aston Martin, and this
coupe embodies all of it. There has always been an aggressive
elegance about an Aston Martin, even before James Bond drove one on
screen. The DB9 has shown a sleekness that is still echoed in
today's cars. That's why it's already a classic. With this in mind,
it's great to see a car like this one that has averaged 2,200 miles
annually... and it certainly looks the part of a low-mileage and
well-respected machine. The factory took care when applying the Jet
Black paint, sunlight loves to dance across the swept-back lines of
this coupe. The headlight covers recall some of the best classic
racers and remain crystal clear today. And the red brake calipers
are just the right hint of aggressive color. As mentioned before,
the Sport Edition is a real treat offered at the end of the model
year. There are some individual specifications owners get to make
when ordering, but one special piece that unites them all is the
set of special 19-inch wheels. These 10-spoke alloys are painted
black and machined around the edges to give the wheels the look of
a pinstripe suit.
Even the doors on the DB9 are part of its charm. They don't just
swing out like a standard door, and the Lamborghini-style scissors
would be too uncouth for a dignified machine. So you get this
elegant "swan" motion that arches upward for easier accessibility
and a cool showing of class. Once inside, you realize what grand
touring comfort is all about. The Sandstorm tan looks terrific
against the exterior black, and in fact, the black is tastefully
mixed all throughout the interior. You see it on the contrast
stitching of the seats, the plush carpeting, and even the piano
block of the center console. It makes for the extra thoughtfulness
that lets you know an Aston has a soul. And of course, like a true
Aston, there's a ton of luxury features, including power seats,
keyless entry/alarm, power locks, power mirrors, dual airbags, side
airbags, power steering, a tilt/telescopic steering column, cruise
control, and navigation screen that raises from the top of the
dash. The radio is an AM/FM/CD/XM with aux input, and it's your
gateway to the premium Bang & Olufsen BeoSound stereo speakers. And
because you have a power convertible top and power windows, you
never have to leave the driver's seat to go from enclosed luxury to
a wind-in-your-hair experience. Plus, with the automatic A/C
climate control and heated seats, you and your passenger get to
dial-in an individual level of top-down comfort all year long.
Plus, there's an extra tinge of performance when you grasp the
leather-wrapped sports steering wheel, push the crystal key, and
see the gauges dance as you hear the motor roar to life.
The original V12 is part of the craftsman build, and because this
has spent its life so far as a cherished toy, everything under the
hood still looks fresh. But don't let this ultra-clean presentation
keep you from adding miles to the odometer. After all, this
convertible is a true driver's machine. The fuel-injected 5.9-liter
V8 sings a 470 hp symphony. You control it all through Aston's
Sportshift six-speed that has F1-style paddle-activated
electronically-operated shifts. There's even a fully automatic mode
for grand touring comfort. As you look at the undercarriage photos,
you'll see nothing but flat panels for better aerodynamics -
another race-inspired piece that proves how serious a performance
machine this is. You'll also spot all the right features, like the
fully independent sports suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, and
new Michelin Pilot Sport tires.
The sale comes complete with paperwork like a reproduction window
sticker and the owner's manual. Plus, you also get a car cover,
trickle charger, and rear wind deflector. This is the kind of
collectible that rarely gets offered publicly. Don't miss your
opportunity, call today!
