Vehicle Description
This 1980 Toyota FJ43 Land Cruiser is the perfect mix of vintage
and new. After all, this classic 4x4 can still live up to its
go-anywhere reputation. But while the outside is still pure rugged
classic, this rarely-seen longer wheelbase version utilizes added
interior space to deliver a luxury experience. The result is a
fully restored Land Cruiser that leaves you wanting for nothing in
style, features, and substance.
The FJs have one of the most sturdy looks around. So when you give
this a full restoration, the modern gray paint makes the whole SUV
look like it was cut from polished marble. And the LED headlights
and spotlight on the windshield base just make this one shine even
more. But we bet you're really noticing the darker elements on this
one. There are the beefy steel bumpers with integrated lights, a
side-mounted off-road jack, wheels borrowed from a modern FJ
Cruiser, and the rear mounts for the gas can and full-size spare.
It's all part of a coordinated darkness that not only looks great
against the gray, but it also reminds you that even the best
restorations need to remember that the FJ is a true off-roader. Of
course, it also doesn't hurt that this one has a level of freshness
and detail that will have valets park it up front.
Because the urban jungle is just as important as the tropical
jungle, this special FJ prepares you for it all. It starts with a
full custom interior. The front seats are modern high-back buckets
with terrific bolstering. So it's far more comfortable than
anything you got in the original FJ. They are finished in a bold
and supple red leather that's also used throughout the interior.
There are some thoughtful details, like the full headliner and
working LED courtesy lights. And the dash keeps the clean/classic
look, right down to the 4x4 instruction bolted to the glovebox.
Instead, the upgraded technology is subtly added, including the new
backlit gauges fitting in the original cluster. And the center
console is home to the controls for the cold-bowing air
conditioning and Alpine AM/FM/XM touchscreen stereo w/Bluetooth.
This one takes advantage of the longer wheelbase of the FJ43 by
giving you a proper forward-facing rear seat and shoulder
seatbelts. However, you still have room for the classic FJ attitude
with two jump seats for a handy third row.
Even the engine bay has the fresh look of a huge investment. FJ
fans know a later one like this comes with a more desirable
4.2-liter motor. That means the same F-series engine robustness,
but it's larger than older ones for added power. This example even
has good supporting components, like an aluminum radiator and
Optima deep cycle battery. With this level of attention, you know
the motor fires up nicely and runs smoothly as a proper Toyota
should. You are in full control of the motor thanks to the
five-speed manual transmission. And while the undercarriage is an
exceptionally clean presentation, you'll easily be able to enjoy
the mud thanks to the two-speed 4x4 transfer case and modern BF
Goodrich off-road tires. Of course, the power steering, power
brakes, front discs, and overall solid ride make this great for
rolling through town, too.
Here's an international symbol for toughness that has been upgraded
to be a unique and beautiful brute. So don't miss out on this total
package Land Cruiser. Call today!!!
