Vehicle Description
This is rolling nostalgia. The 1990 Ford LTD Crown Victoria Country
Squire wagon has all the stuff you love, like the V8 power, wood
side paneling, a loaded interior, and facing third-row seating. It
was part of that popular generation where everyone piled into the
family car for a road trip. Since this highly original and loaded
car is so affordable, you can return to that time with ease.
The factory-correct Garnet Red was given a respray later in life.
It has the look of premium that you want on a range-topping Country
Squire wagon. Smooth chrome bumpers, intricate factory wheel
covers, full LTD trim, and the luggage rack give you plenty of
stylish brightwork. And the exceptional condition of the body looks
like no one's kid learned to drive in this family mover. The
wood-like side trim seems like it's obligatory for a classic family
hauler like this. You may choose to redo a few sections (the kit is
readily available) but we already kind of like how this gives the
impression of an authentic family wagon without looking like a
lifetime workhorse. In fact, this one is vintage, right down to the
phone antennas on the back window!
The full deep red package continues inside. There's a terrific
level of preservation here, and you see it in details like the
smooth wood-like trim and how the clean seats retain their
intricate pattern. A tilt wheel and a fold-down armrest make sure
this wagon knows how to get long-haul comfortable. Plus, this
premium Country Squire gives you a power seat, and because this is
one of the youngest of its generation, you get an airbag. So the
driver's seat is quite an alluring command position. You also have
a ton of great features like power windows (including the rear
glass), power mirrors, power locks, and upgraded tinted windows.
You also have provisions for the factory AM/FM/cassette stereo and
air conditioning (they will need servicing to fully function
again.) The spacious second row and plush carpeting keep this
comfortable for plenty of people, and if you need more room, it has
the dual facing rear seats to hold up to eight people total. Plus,
both rows can all be folded flat for utility. Overall, we don't
know if the odometer reflects the full mileage, but you can really
tell it never spent a life with sticky finger stains or the family
dog tearing up the cargo area. So most people will be amazed as we
are at how this one looks. That makes it perfect for loading up
with supplies and spending the day showing it off at the car
show.
This is a premium Ford product from the early '90s, and so you know
there's a 5.0-liter V8 under the hood. But while the fuel-injected
motor was earning a street-eating reputation in the Mustang, this
is quite a different setup. It utilizes its powerful and
torque-filled heart in a more refined way. So no rumbling burnouts
here, but you do get to be the first to pull away for the stoplight
any time you want. In fact, good maintenance and desirable fuel
injection keep it quite a consistent machine. Plus, it has power
steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and a four-speed automatic
transmission with highway-friendly overdrive. So it's the kind of
classic luxury that can still easily take you in comfort on long
road trips.
This time capsule even comes complete with the owner's manual. This
is family-style nostalgia at its finest. So if you know what
Radwood is, you know you need to call today!
