Mechanical
Our 1965 Ford Thunderbird features its factory 390 CI V-8 engine
under the hood with 300 horsepower via its Edelbrock 4 Bbl Carb,
factory cast iron exhaust headers leading out to the dual exhaust
system, MSD ignition, coil, and distributor, original working air
conditioning, Power Steering, C6 automatic transmission, plus it's
equipped from the factory with power front disc brakes.
The engine runs as strong as it sounds and looks great with its
chrome valve covers and open element air cleaner in the clean,
painted, and detailed engine compartment, and it rides on period
looking whitewall tires and Ford T-Bird polished hubcaps.
Interior
Just take a look at the burgundy plush bucket seat interior with
power windows, power drivers seat, Special Thunderbird Mirrors,
reclining Passenger Seat with headrest, burgundy steering wheel,
stainless console, white faced gauges, plush carpeting with floor
mats, and too much more to list, and you will get an idea of how
luxurious this Thunderbird really is.
Exterior
Great white paint with the black convertible Power Soft Top with
all new pumps and hoses is easy on the eyes, and it has great
chrome trim, bumpers, sequential turn signals which flash three
bulbs in the horizontal tail lights from inside to outside, great
grille, Thunderbird emblem, simulated front fender vent trim,
revised Thunderbird scripts, and revised taillight lens trim and a
single center emblem.
Our Thunderbird Convertible has the great opening mechanism where
the trunk lid opens electrically in a single piece, hinged at the
back of the vehicle, then the fabric top folds down and disappears
beneath the trunk lid.
