Vehicle Description
1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass W-31 1968 GM introduced their W31 Ram Air
Cutlass S with its 'Ram-Rod' 350 V8 Engine offering 325HP. The 'Ram
Rod' was distinguished by its functional ram-air intakes under the
front bumper to feed power to its V8 Engine. The 'Ram Rod' decals
still adorn the air cleaner on this low production model. Dependent
on the source, this is 1 of 569 units made. OPTIONS: PS, Pwr
Antenna, Tilt Wheel, Bucket Seats, Gauge Pkg, Rally Suspension,
Spoiler, AM/FM Radio Ralley Wheels, 3:42 Posi Rear End, Rare
induced air electric cooling motors, Enlarged Harmonic Balancer
correct for W-31 EXTERIOR: GM Crimson Red ('52') with white painted
stripes painted in 2-stage Base/Clear. The body fit & finish is
exceptional and the paint is a strong 9 out of 10 for its merits.
There are a few small touch-up worthy paint chips on the left door
edge and center grille area. There is a scratch on the left quarter
wheel arch that has been touched up and doesn't detract greatly
from it's presentation. Strips are painted------not decals. The
body is solid with no signs of rust or collision damage evident
(see trunk photos). All the trim is intact and in good shape. All
the glass is good except for a stone chip at left lower corner of
windshield that is not in the field of vision. Tires are about 50%
worn and otherwise unremarkable. No curb rash to wheels. All lamps
work as they should but the left front park lamp needs a bulb.
Spoiler is present and makes for a great look on this muscle car.
The functional ram air-scoops below the front bumper are what make
this really aggressive looking. INTERIOR: Black Dash and steering
wheel are soft and free of any cracks or damage. The off-white
vinyl interior is original, clean with no bolster wear or loose
seams etc. Headliner is intact (not loose or sagging). Seats are
comfortable. All instruments work as they should including power
antenna and radio. MECHANICAL: 350 V8 (325hp) starts easily and
roars. No oil leaks, runs out nice.
