For Sale: 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air in Lavergne, Tennessee

Vehicle Description

This is the car that launched a legend, and this 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad has been given all the right investments to make it feel like it turns back the clock. So check out everything from the whitewalls to the V8 motor, and you'll see a real classic that is really meant for cruising.

There is absolutely no better way to show off the rare and desirable Nomad body than in the bold two-tone. So it's great to see a cool combo with the red/orange dominating the lower section with a vibrant style, and the cream upper portion giving this a hint of sophistication. It's all done in a later application that gives you a modern clearcoat shine that will let you take this to car shows with pride. This was the first year for the Nomad, and everyone loves seeing the iconic raked rear hatch and wraparound glass that made for one of the most prolific icons of the 1950s. These were the top-of-the-line Chevys that were exclusive to the Bel Airs, and these came with a lot of intricate brightwork.

The interior does a fine job of integrating some nice upgrades into the classic style. After all, when was the last time you saw a 1955 Chevy with power windows and a power seat? But what we really like is how the orange and red two-tone of the exterior was continued inside. You have a classic pattern on the seats, door panels, and even the floor mats. And you'll love the details everywhere from the artful Bel Air steering wheel to the working dome lights. Even the spare is sitting in a nearly spotless well in the cargo area.

The 1955 Chevrolet launched the small block era, and so it's great to see such a classic-looking V8. This 265 cubic-inch motor is the correct displacement, and it looks correct right down to the air grabber. But while this is pure vintage style, you'll especially love that this V8 was rebuilt less than 50 miles ago. It's the kind of quality investment that makes this a great cruiser. So does the Powerglide automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes.

This is the first-year Nomad is an attention-grabbing classic, and it has been given the right investment to hit the road and turn plenty of heads near and far. Call today!!!
