For Sale: 1970 Chevrolet C10 in Charlotte, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

What do you get when you combine the smooth aesthetics of a timeless classic with the spry spirit of a Street Stock race car? This incredible Chevy C10! With the universal appeal of all-American eye candy, and the all-out performance of a weekend track champ, this slick pickup is a unique, well-built hot rod that provides its owner the best of both worlds. And what's better: you can have your showstopper and drive it too for a fraction of the money and time it takes to complete a ground-up build!

BODY-IN-WHITE

A head-turning cruiser that's dashed with a fair amount of modern muscle car swagger, this exclusive C10 features a buckled down, custom appearance that's highlighted by a crisp coat of Bright White two-stage. That pigment wraps a solid profile that, during an acute build, was lovingly massaged to form. And today, this classic rolls as one lights-out custom that's ready to start conversations at the meet or at the stoplight!

There really isn't much you can do to make an Action Line Chevy more attractive. The truck's stout styling was a homerun when originally introduced, and today, it's a stunning example of some of the strongest elements of the highly regarded Mid Century movement. At the front of this cherry custom, a broad bumper tilts a painted grille around modern headlights and clear parking lamps. An extensively modified hood points Satin Black heat extractors in front of a chip-free greenhouse that's finished with one-piece side glass. That glass gets reflected in modern Mustang mirrors, which blend right in with factory markers and billet Ringbrothers door handles. The truck's full roll cage is most prominent in a painted bed, which hides a relocated fuel filler beneath a NASCAR-style spoiler. And that spoiler shades a coyly lettered tailgate between factory taillights and a second broad bumper.

LS NATION!

Enact this classic's lightweight hood and you'll find an even six liters of proven Chevrolet small block that, officially dubbed the GM LS2, spins smooth horsepower into miles of open-road reliability! At the top of that aluminum mill, a remote K&N filter funnels wind into a big K&N tube, which fronts a proven GM throttle body that was professionally ported by Concord North Carolina's Advanced Induction. A 92mm FAST intake, also ported by Advanced Induction, sends a finely tuned mixture of fuel and air into GM 243 heads that, you guessed it, were ported by Advanced Induction. Those heads float Chevy Orange valve covers over ARP bolts and a hot Advanced Induction Tiger Shark cam. A Kwik-tinged serpentine drive spins modern power steering opposite a modern alternator and a modern AC compressor. Factory coils fire Belden plug wires, which split coated Doug Thorley headers. A hearty Griffin radiator twins electric puller fans next to a Moroso catch can. Details like stainless lines, a Wilwood clutch reservoir and Classic Performance Products brake components ensure first-class athleticism. And the clean, Cast Silver mill rides in a smooth, Satin Black bay.

SEAMLESS UPGRADES

Take a long look under this Chevy and you'll find a roster of significant modifications that add up to impressive dynamics and big performance gains. The buff LS2 utilizes a tough Tremec T56 6-speed to twist a trusty 12-bolt axle that's built with big, 3.73 gears. That axle pushes a planted Ridetech 4-link that's finished with modern coil-over-shocks. Opposite that clip, Ridetech StrongArm control arms string a second set of modern coil-overs behind an upsized sway bar. Turns come courtesy of traditional power steering. Stops are quick and precise thanks to power-assisted CPP calipers and a quartet of drilled and slotted rotors. Ample fuel is supplied by an Aeromotive 340 Stealth pump, which drains a big stainless tank that's centered beside a relocated Optima battery. Spent gases are managed by aluminized pipes, which make excellent use of welded, dual-chamber mufflers. And power pounds the pavement through muted wheels, which spin 285/40ZR18 Nitto NT555 Extreme ZRs in front of 305/45R18 Nitto NT555R Extreme Drags.

JUST THE ESSENTIALS

There's no shortage of hot rods with customized interiors, but a classic this cool always stands out! Built around the simple desire to drive, this C10's fully caged cockpit kicks off with a sculpted bench seat that supplies 3-point RJS harnesses for the driver and one lucky passenger. In front of that perch, a weave-look dash hangs precise Dakota Digital telemetry next to controls for Vintage Air conditioning and a well-integrated USB port. Fade-free carpet centers a long Bowler shifter beside billet foot pedals. Muted Ringbrothers door handles join muted Ringbrothers window cranks to dot handsome TMI door panels. And the driver drifts curves through a DRIVEN Circuit steering wheel.

This sweet Chevy is a well-done classic that was built to be driven AND seen. It uses top-notch components from some of the best names in the business to create a unique custom that mixes killer personality with awesome curb appeal. Looking for a road ready hot rod that's guaranteed to draw a crowd wherever you go? Your search is officially over!
