1 of only 1882 Caballeros sold in 1987 makes this 1987 GMC
Caballero a rare find. In 1971, GMC's version of the car/truck
hybrid was named "Sprint", then In 1978 when the body style
changed, so did the name to "Caballero" which is Spanish for
"Gentleman". The GMC Caballero did share the mechanics with the
Chevrolet counterpart El Camino, but did have a 10" longer
wheelbase. This particular Caballero is a 2 owner vehicle with the
second owner having possession for 30 years. It is evident by the
condition of this truck, that it was lovingly maintained by both
owners. This Caballero is powered by the fuel-injected 4.3 Liter V6
and backed by an automatic transmission with overdrive. This GMC
runs and drives just as it should. Ease of driving is enhanced by
the Power front disc brakes, power steering, and factory A/C. The 2
tone silver metallic and gray with burgundy stripe exterior is in
very good condition and shines very well. The original bed is also
in above average condition with very light signs of use. The
exterior chrome and stainless steel is in very good condition. This
Caballero is still riding on its original wheels, wrapped in new
raised white letter tires. The original burgundy cloth interior is
in excellent condition. The seat, carpet, and dash are in excellent
condition with no tears. Nicely optioned with factory A/C, cruise
control, AM/FM with cassette tape stereo, tilt steering, and dual
mirrors. This GMC Caballero is ready for that local cruise in, or
nice sunny drive.
