This is one of the rarest Corvettes in history! In 2009, to
celebrate 70 victories and eight championships for the Corvette GT1
in the American Le Mans series, Chevrolet produced a limited GT1
Championship Corvette. Chevrolet planned to make 600 total GT1
Championship editions and ended up only making 125. Of those 125,
only 38 yellow Z06s were produced out of a total of 55 Z06.
According to the owner, there were less than 7 yellow Z06 with
under 500 miles since 2019, this one could very well be the lowest
mileage one you see offered again. This is an absolute must have
for any serious Corvette collector.
EXTERIOR: This car is beautiful. The owner had it professionally
ceramic coated. There is also a clear bra on the front end of the
car. It's like it never left the showroom floor. With only 60
original miles, it presents itself like a brand-new vehicle. Of the
38 yellow Z06 GT1 Championship editions made, this is car #4. It
has a silver and gray stripe across the tire links of the car. The
infamous Jake mascot racing emblem is ghost painted on the hood.
The lower driver side door features the GT1 champion years, and the
lower passenger door features the Le Mans 24-hour GT1 champion
years. It also has black housing headlights, the ZR1 style full
width spoiler and chrome wheels, and behind the wheels are drilled
rotors with big piston brakes. It has like new Michelin pilot sport
performance tires which were put on about 30 miles ago. It Also
comes with the carbon fiber license plate holder specific to the
GT1 Championship Corvettes.
INTERIOR: The interior is spotless - I can't find a single blemish
anywhere. It still even smells like new. The interior is very well
executed and features a soft leather wrapped dash, door panels,
seats, and center armrest. Everything is stitched together with
yellow thread to set it off and keep it GT1 related. There's also
the Jake mascot emblem on the headrests of the seats, and on the
armrest. It also has "Corvette GT1" stitched into the passenger
glove box. You also receive the 3LZ interior package in this beauty
- Bose premium sound system, power telescoping wheel, heated seats,
driver and passenger luggage shade, Bluetooth for your phone, and
head up display. The owner also optioned for touch screen with
navigation stereo display which was an additional $1,750.00 from
the factory.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: When you pop the hood you find yourself staring
at the 427 V8 also known as the LS7. The best part about this
engine was that the owner had the heads fixed professionally. The
aluminum heads were sent out from the dealer to have the valve
guides and exhaust valves upgraded and replaced. This was roughly a
$6,000 repair in just labor costs alone and with total parts cost,
it was near $10,000. At the time of the heads being rebuilt, the
owner also had the clutch system flushed as well as the brake
system and filled with all fresh fluids. Exclusive to the GT1 were
carbon fiber printed engine covers, and to top that off the owner
had an upgraded $1,500 Halltech real carbon fiber cold air intake
installed also.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The trunk compartment is fully carpeted and very
clean, just like the rest of the car. There is a box that includes
original documents, original window sticker, all the labor receipts
from dealer installed heads, nicely laminated copies of dealer
options, and window stickers that can be displayed around the car.
There is even a premium car cover that's very nicely fitting.
UNDERSIDE: Underneath the car is exceptionally clean, just how
you'd want it as a collector car. The owner added some goodies to
spice this Z06 up. It has an amazing exhaust note thanks to the
American Racing long tube headers and X pipe added. There's also a
Mild to Wild exhaust that will really open it up. It's currently
not plugged in but it comes with remotes and the new owner can
decide whether or not they want to have it on. Also a nice feature
to mention was that the owner had an elite engineering tunnel plate
installed that is a stronger heat shield and helps reduce heat in
the cabin and center console.
Overall I am proud to offer you this car from our Modern Muscle
Showroom. Chevy did a great job on The GT1 Championship Edition
collector, and this one is exactly that - a very, very nice
collector car. You can't go wrong with this Corvette. These are so
rare that it very well might be the lowest mileage one we will come
across, or quite possibly the only GT1 Z06 we will be able to bring
into our showroom.
A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am
offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen
are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your
questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a
walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a
particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car.
Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you
will be given a 1 year membership.
