Now, the fun part. 425+ hp in a light weight sports car. Top down,
shifting gears, hearing the roar out of the side pipes is awesome!
I know, I've experienced it. It performs and functions great.
EXTERIOR: Professionally stripped and repainted in it's original
Milano Maroon color. The body is mint, no damage. The gaps are
excellent. The jambs were painted and detailed. Weatherstrips were
replaced. The optional removable hardtop was repainted and given
new weatherstrips and hardware. Dated glass including the
windshield. Reproduction goldline tires and knock off wheels. The
factory side exhaust looks great and sounds even better. The white
convertible top looks great, it has a very tiny tear. The chrome
all sparkles. It has a factory power antenna that works.
INTERIOR: Claimed to have only 49,752 original miles. The optional
leather upholstery looks original and is still very good. Carpet
front to back is in excellent shape. The center console is
excellent, it has the correct 4-speed with reverse lockout. The
original AM-FM radio works. All the gages are in excellent shape.
It has the correct 6,500 redline tachometer and 80 pound oil
pressure gauge that comes with the high performance motor. The dash
pads are excellent, door panels are mint. Beautiful restored
teakwood wheel too.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Legendary 427 big block is rated at 425 hp but
actually makes 450+ and 465 lbs of torque! Certified original
motor. Vin # matches, the casting dates and codes are correct.
Correct numbered and dated alternator. It has optional
transistorized ignition. Correct mesh air filter and dimpled valve
covers. Rebuilt original water pump. New reproduction hoses and
clamps. It has the ignition shielding, new correct shielded plug
wires, heat shields around the plugs and even correct belts. New
correct brake master cylinder. The motor was recently rebuilt. Has
Crane cam, roller lifters, new bearings, rings, timing set, honed
cylinders, polished crank etc. Rebuilt heads, machined valves and
seats, new springs. The entire engine apartment is freshly
detailed, it looks like it just rolled out the factory.
UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame for a detailed restoration.
It looks new, very detailed and fresh. It even has assembly line
paint markings, tags and even the tape around the body bushings. Up
front the steering and suspension has bank completely rebuilt. All
new balljoints, bushings, springs, shocks and steering linkage. It
has independent suspension in back to and it was all apart and
rebuilt- bushings, nuts, bolts and shocks. It was just given a 4
wheel alignment. It has disc brakes at all 4 wheels. The brake
system was completely restored. Replaced, lines, hoses, e-brake
assembly. New fuel tank and hardware. Bottom of the motor is clean,
there are some dents in the oil pan. It has the correct canister
oil filter, correct dated and numbered starter. It has correct M-21
Muncie 4-speed trans. Drive shaft is rebuilt and has assembly paint
markings on it. Original 3.70 posi rear. The raw fiberglass floors
are in excellent condition, they've even been cleaned real well. It
has a complete spare tire carrier. It is really nice under this
car- proper, correct and detailed.
This is an investment grade Corvette. Rest assured it is a good
one, 4 time Top Flight says so. It has desirability, rarity and
originality.
