Only 23 miles since the high end custom build from the ground up by
P.G. Series Street Rods in San Diego. Paul Garret is known for
building world class hot rods. This is from the prestigious Sam
Pack collection.
EXTERIOR: Outstanding! This car glows. Stripped to a bare metal
shell. It was cleaned up by shaving the door handles, gas tank
door, hood trim and chrome quarter panel trim. The inner fenders
were custom made. The body work is phenomenal, absolutely straight.
There's not a ripple or a dimple anywhere that I could find. No
rust, damage or problem areas. Gorgeous PPG Sunset Pearl Orange and
a black roof. Both have 4 coats of clear and a gloss that looks
wet. All of the chrome has been replated. The bumpers are smoothed
out with no bumper bolts showing. The stainless was straightened
and it looks like it was chromed. The glass is tinted. All the
gaskets and weatherstrips were replaced. Jambs are slick, chrome
hardware was used. It rolls on 20x8.5 Boyd's smoothie wheels and
Nitto performance tires. It has an air ride system that let's you
drop it to the ground for an even more dramatic look.
INTERIOR: Dynomated. Custom made center console. Flaming River tilt
column. 340 watt premium sound system. It was completely gutted and
then it was lined with dynomat sound deadener. Down on the floor is
premium carpet with matching mats. It has reclining bucket seats in
front. The upholstery is glovesoft leather with real ostrich and
suede inserts. The door panels are custom made. Overhead is a suede
like fabric on the headliner and visors. The interior metal is
painted just as slick as the car. It has a real nicely designed
custom center console. It starts at the back seat and merges into
the dash. The controls are mostly hidden under the dash. It
features a full set of Dolphin gauges. It has a 340 watt Pioneer
stereo with 6 hidden speakers. There is also a Pioneer DVD player
with a color screen on the dash. Nice billet a/c controls and
vents. A Flaming River tilt column has a steering wheel that is
matched to the wheels. It has seat belts. Very comfortable
inside.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The engine bay is all smoothed out metal
painted in gloss orange. Chrome hinges and hardware. The engine is
a 5.7 LT-1 by Street and Performance. It has aluminum heads, fuel
injection and thermal coated headers. It's fully dressed with
aluminum parts- valve covers, custom intake cover, alternator,
brackets and March pulleys with serpentine belt system. Modern
power steering system has remote billet reservoir and braided
stainless hoses. The a/c components are polished aluminum and has
stainless braided hoses. The motor runs cool with an aluminum water
pump, radiator, overflow bottle and a chrome electric fan.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It opens with a remote. The entire trunk
compartment has been boxed and upholstered, even under the trunk
lid. The floor is carpeted and that is where the fuel cap is
located. There's a battery disconnect switch, the battery is
located behind the back panel. The air ride tanks are behind the
side panels.
UNDERSIDE: It rides on Firestone Rapid Response air suspension. It
has dual compressors and tanks. Custom independent front suspension
with chromoly tubular control arms, chrome shocks, rack & pinion
steering and chrome swaybar. In back it has chromoly tubular 4 link
suspension with polished aluminum gas shocks. Baer brake system
with 14 inch drilled and slotted rotors, billet calipers at all 4
wheels. It has power brakes and the e-brake is hooked up. Custom
thermal coated exhaust. It has a high torque starter, chrome oil
pan, filter and flywheel cover. The trans is a 4L60E automatic
overdrive from Street and Performance. It has a chrome pan and a
remote oil cooler. In back is a new Ford 9 inch rear with 3.73 posi
gears. The frame has been smoothed out. The bottom of this car is
painted the same gloss orange as the top.
This car is drop dead gorgeous. It will stand out, even amongst
other beautiful cars. A build like this at a professional shop
would take well over a year and well over $125,000.
This one is done and ready!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a
particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car.
Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you
will be given a 1 year membership.
