This beautiful black and silver 1966 Shelby Cobra Replica with 2710 actual miles is being offered for sale by owner. The body is a Unique Motorcars production with a fully boxed steel frame. Built in the late 80’s and has a clear Texas title as a 1989 Cobra. Originally candy red, received the current paint scheme around 2015. Paint is very nice and garage kept under a fitted California car cover. Included are pictures showing the build process, as well as the component manuals, builder notations, and receipts. This car is a one-of-a-kind raw visceral experience to drive, is extremely fast and powerful, yet can be driven normally with surprising ease.
Under the stock cobra hood sits an impressive 454 Chevy big block with L88 aluminum heads, comp cams 1.7 roller rockers and camshaft with .623 lift. Sitting atop the engine is a B&M 174 roots type supercharger with a cog belt drive. Fuel injection is a B&M throttle body with four injectors and has been re-managed by a modern Holley HP ECU which connects directly to a laptop via a USB cable. Motor runs very strong on pump gas or race fuel if you want to kick it up a notch. Engine has zero overheating concerns thanks to dual independently computer controlled electric fans. Each can be programmed via laptop to cycle at any temperature range. Mated to the engine is a truly magnificent Doug Nash five speed manual transmission. Getting that power to the ground is an independent rear suspension with inboard disc brakes and adjustable dual coil over shocks. The rear fenders were tastefully widened during the build process to accommodate fifteen-inch-wide tires. Tires are Mickey Thompsons, 26x10.00R15 in the front and 29x15.00R15 at the rear, less than 500 miles on them. They are mounted on correct Halibrand style three-piece mag wheels.

The car has also been around Indianapolis Motor Speedway. There are videos on youtube of it running, simply type in “thetoolman151” in the search bar and turn the sound up. Asking price is $54,900.
