This 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 Tribute is a great all-around
classic. The exterior has an aggressive red style, the interior is
a comfortable cruiser, and the numbers-matching V8 has been
enhanced for an extra kick of power.
When you're a proper tribute to a legend, you need to get the
sporty details right. The big twin hood scoops, hood twist locks,
442 badging, and a notched rear bumper for the dual exhaust get the
look right. And the optional spoiler on the back is as big as an
airplane's wing to make sure people really know to take notice. So
this car has a nice speedy style. Plus, it upholds the premium
image of an Oldsmobile, too, with the shining form-hugging chrome
bumpers. The red paint is an upgrade later in life, and so it has a
good shine for this bold coupe. The addition of the white stripes
on the hood and running the full length of the coupe stand out
nicely while also adding to the sporty style. And the
competition-style torque thrust wheels are the right fit for a
powerful package like this.
The black interior is pure Oldsmobile. It starts with recovered
seats that have a nice pleated style and a button-top finish.
There's also a smooth dash, wood-like door trim, and plush
carpeting. This is even a factory air conditioning car (it will
need servicing to blow cold again.) The Olds four-spoke sports
steering wheel and three pod-style stainless steel gauge faces make
for a nice driver's package.
Oldsmobile people know that a Rocket 350 cubic-inch motor is
something very special. Olds manufactured their own V8 engines
during this era, and they shared no major components with the Chevy
version. They are loved for their durability, and so it's great to
have the numbers-matching motor still under the hood. It has the
sharp look of a quality investment with smooth inner walls,
polished Edelbrock valve covers, and a matching air grabber. Plus,
there's added power from the Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and
Edelbrock intake. This also exhales with authority thanks to a
newer dual exhaust featuring Turbo mufflers. A V8 coupe like this
also makes for a fantastic cruiser thanks to features such as power
steering, power brakes, front discs, and a three-speed automatic
transmission.
A sharp look and quality investment make for a terrific 442
tribute. So, if you're quick enough to grab it, your search for the
perfect value-priced Olds is over. Call today!!!
