In 2011, Porsche introduced a swan song of a Porsche 911, created as the last hurrah for the 997 as it reached the end of its production run. The GT2 RS featured a 3.6L Twin Turbo 620HP power-plant, a 6-speed manual transmission, and rear-wheel-drive. The RS model emphasized lightweight components throughout, including a carbon fiber trunk lid and rear wing, lighter door panels, battery, and flywheel. Weight savings for the GT2 RS were 155 pounds over the previous GT2 model, culminating in an acceleration time from 0-60mph of 3.5 seconds, while reaching a top speed of 205 mph. The newly engineered GT2 RS set the automotive world alight, and celebrated by recording a new lap record at the N�rburgring.

Issued in a limited quantity of just 500 units world-wide, the RS was an instant classic. Making full power at 6,800rpm with a stratospheric redline of 8,000rpm, this was the ultimate 911. Paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, and rear-wheel-drive, the 997 GT2 RS is still considered one of the best driving 911s to date.

Purchased from Hoffman Porsche of East Hartford, Connecticut in February of 2011, this GT2 RS has been regularly serviced at Porsche Dealers in Northern California. Finished in Carrera White, the RS includes a carbon hood, front fenders, front grill insert, side air intakes, side view mirrors, rear turbo wing, and rear diffuser. The interior of the GT2 RS was ordered in bi-color Black leather, with Red Alcantara seat inserts, door handles, headliner, steering wheel, gear shift knob, and additional Carbon Fiber trim. With only 7,729 miles recorded since new, this sublime GT2 RS represents a low mileage, investment grade collectible, suitable for any significant Porsche collection.
