When it comes to vibrant cruisers, it's hard to get more awesome
than this 1964 Ford Falcon Futura Convertible. The custom color is
carried inside and out, and you even have updated V8 power to make
this a driver that's easy to show off.
You might think that this is a pure custom presentation, but it
actually has some historic connections. Tropical Rose was a Ford
color from the previous decade of pastel cars, and so this one is
just paying tribute to its predecessors. Of course, they didn't
have the streak of white that this Futura trim turns into a bold
two-tone cruiser that would even make a '55 T-Bird take notice.
Full moon spun hubcaps and bright dual exhaust tips complete the
look-over-here upgrade. More than just the color theme, we like
this generation Falcon because the design became more substantial
than the fires gen. Wide chrome bumpers and a more intricate hood
gave this compact look larger. And they still kept the classic/cool
afterburner taillights.
The cream white top has a good look against the custom paint, but
for real distinction, you'll want to power it down to show off the
custom interior. After all, someone made a nice investment to have
the pink and white two-tone return inside on the seats, door
panels, and dash. They even matched the little details, like the
white sun visors, convertible boot, and steering wheel grip. But
the carpet remains black because you want to make it easy for
everyone to hop in with you for a carefree Sunday drive. There are
even good road trip upgrades like cup holders and an auxiliary
gauge trio.
This car was born with a six-cylinder, but we all know the 289
cubic-inch V8 was the motor to have from this era. So it's great to
see that upgrade under the hood. It looks good with the bright
valve covers, air grabber w/callout, and bracer bar across the
engine bay. These V8s love upgrades and are easy to service, and so
this one already inhales deeper with a Holley four-barrel
carburetor. Plus, you have easy cruising features like an automatic
transmission, power steering, and power brakes with discs up
front.
The sale comes complete with the owner's manual and a service
manual. This is a very distinct Falcon drop-top for a very
affordable price. Call now!
