Vehicle Description
1967 Plymouth GTX!
Incredible find! This 1967 Plymouth is a real deal 426 Dual Quad
HEMI, 4 Speed, GTX. Documented and two time Mopar Nationals
Winner.
Purchased in 1988 by its restorer, this GTX was believed to be an
actual 21K mile car used as a tow vehicle for a Connecticut-based
drag racer. After purchasing, the car was then soon disassembled
and shipped out for a full chemical strip. A gentle glass beading
process was immediately followed with new lead seams, a new fender,
and a new quarter. Originally the car was green but with a solid
fresh body, the car was sprayed with a high quality DuPont aircraft
primer and a glossy Black 2-stage paint giving it that stunning
black it has now. The Plymouth was then shipped to the MoPar
experts at Pennsylvania's Totally Auto Inc. for reassembly. After
quite some time, the car was finally completed in 2007. Since being
restored, this Plymouth has won First Place at the 2008 MoPar
Nationals, First Place at the 2011 MoPars on the Mississippi, and
First in Class at the 2017 MoPar Nationals. This bad to the bone
muscle car performs just as well as it looks. Behind the big-bore
engine, a rugged A833 4-speed spins a powder-coated Dana axle
that's finished with 4.10 gears and a Sure Grip differential. The
front torsion bar and rear leaf suspension has been completely
restored to include correct manual steering. 2.5-inch, aluminized
exhaust pipes and an H-shaped crossover, requisite turbo mufflers
and polished stainless tips. Brakes are powered by two
power-assisted calipers, professionally rebuilt by SSBC, two
power-assisted drums, NOS equipped brakes and rotors. Driving on
chrome Magnum 500s twist 7.75-14 Firestone Deluxe Champion
redlines. The underside of this car is as clean and glossy as the
top! This car shines from top to bottom with its stainless fuel
tank down to its fresh stainless chassis bolts.Inside you'll ride
in style on black upholstered bucket seats with beautiful detailing
and a matching bench seat in the back. Additional Features inside
include a Plymouth Transaudio radio, NOS shifter, Black and red GTX
floor mats, and a classy steering wheel laps a big Sun Super Tach
II.
