Vehicle Description
7346 original miles. 3LZ package. Never raced, abused, or used in
wet weather. Beautiful throughout, insanely fast, yet remarkably
civilized. All manuals, books, and accessories included. The last
of the front-engined Corvette supercars, ready to rock!Chevrolet's
track-based weapon, the Z06 is entirely built for combat. Taking
the C6 ZR1's supercharged engine and dropping it into the C7's
state-of-the-art chassis makes for one of the most potent machines
to ever come out of Bowling Green. I mean, just look at the thing!
This is an apex predator, especially in black. The shape is
aggressive yet functional with a variety of vents and scoops
designed to feed the Z06's various coolers and radiators. It's pure
function following form. Of course, with just 7346 original miles,
this one remains virtually new and has never been driven in anger
on a track, which many might consider wasted potential. On the
upside, however, that means it's ultra-clean and well preserved,
ready for the next guy to start having fun. The Z06 is easy to
recognize with its side vents and chrome 'Z06 SUPERCHARGED'
emblems, as well as the functional hood that helps keep everything
cool. What else is left to say? This one is virtually new.The 3LZ
package provides big upgrades inside, starting with better quality
leather and more of it. Contrasting white stitching gives it an
upscale look and the seats are every bit as comfortable and
supportive as they look. There's matching Napa leather on the
steering wheel and the gauges can be configured to match your
driving style (seriously, it's extremely cool). 3LZ also includes
the navigation system with track timer and forward-facing camera
with recorder, and things like the heads-up display help with
on-track performance as well as everyday driving. Of course,
everything else is standard, including automatic climate control,
power everything, cruise control, and heated seats. It's all
virtually new and represents GM's best effort yet in making the
Corvette as comfortable and sophisticated as it is fast. And the
ultra-light CFA carbon fiber roof panel is a snap to remove and
stow in the surprisingly spacious trunk. The 6.2 liter LT4
supercharged V8 engine is a direct descendant of the 6.2 liter LS9
found in the C6 ZR1. But leaving it alone wasn't quite good enough,
with the Z06 getting a boost to a nice, round 650 horsepower and a
matching 650 lb-ft. of torque. That's a shocking amount of power on
tap in a car that's as easy to drive as a garden-variety Malibu.
This one has been properly maintained over the past six years of
its life and drives like it should, with easy starts, a comfortable
idle, and effortless power at any speed. No modifications, no
questionable upgrades, and nothing but factory-spec maintenance
since it was new. Combined with the 8-speed paddle shifted
automatic transmission, it was, for a time, the fastest Corvette
ever built. The suspension is adjustable and it carries gigantic
brakes with J6F red calipers at all four corners, another critical
piece of the puzzle for track work. The exhaust offers just the
right bark and the quad outlets in back just looks killer. Optional
black forged alloy wheels carry super sticky 285/30/19 front and
335/25/20 Michelin Pilot Sport radials that are original to the
car.Extras include all the factory books and manuals, cargo net,
and more.It will be interesting in the coming years to see how the
last front-engine Corvette is regarded by enthusiasts. With values
trending up, it appears that the traditionalists regard the Z06 as
the pinnacle of Corvette evolution, and it's hard to argue with
their assessment. Seriously fast, ridiculously comfortable, and
still representing a massive bang for the buck, this Z06 is
everything you'd want in a performance car. Call today!Harwood
