This 1976 Chevrolet Corvette has been with the same owner for 34
years and has been regularly maintained with minor upgrades. The
Corvette features a matching-numbers V8 engine that has been
rebuilt with a balanced crankshaft, high domed pistons, Hooker
headers, performance camshaft, fuel pump, 7-quart oil pan and
MagnaFlow mufflers. Other modifications to the engine include
heat-wrapped headers, Edelbrock air cleaner and chrome valve
covers. The car has been continuously cared for with regular oil
changes using Royal Purple synthetic oil, and has had bushings and
other rubber parts replaced as needed over time (except for the
vacuum lines for the headlights). Additionally, the automatic
transmission has been fully serviced and features new mounts. The
car has been driven about 500 miles per year and now has 84,400
miles on it. In 2001 the front and rear bumpers were replaced and
the whole car got a fresh coat of white paint. The interior has
been redone with a new center console, carpet, under-carpet heat
shields and new recently installed leather seat covers.
