A powerful fuel-injected V8, five-speed stick, and growling side
pipes all make this 1965 Shelby Cobra Factory Five a speed machine.
And the extra touches of bold style let you know that the appeal of
this one is more than just its value price.
Tangelo Pearl gets this Cobra noticed. In fact, we're surprised the
name of the paint isn't Nuclear Orange for the way it looks like
this could glow in the dark. There's even a metallic element to
make sure this one radiates even more in the sunlight. It makes for
a bold background to ally the black and gray over-the-top stripe
package. The full finish looks quite stylish while also never
shying away from a track day. There's plenty more shine from the
brightwork pieces, and at the same time, they remind you of the
competition history of these cars. You see it in the roll hoop,
push bumpers, and growling side pipes. And a set of Cobra R-style
polished wheels means you add to the shine while getting to fit
proper performance tires. So it's a full package that is both
bright and mean, and it's finished with the quality you expect from
a Factory Five car.
The interior gives you a nice mix of vintage and new. You still
have classic Cobra elements, like the low-back bucket seats and
toggle switches on the dash, but there are also the right updates
to the theme. There are proper racing harnesses, an upgraded
shifter, and a leather-wrapped Factory Five steering wheel. And the
dash is now a carbon fiber unit filled with crisp and modern
AutoMeter Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite gauges.
The Cobras were born from Ford's small block program, and so it's
great to have a 302 cubic-inch V8 under the hood. But one look and
you also know this is a lot more powerful than stock. It's said to
be bored to 306ci, as well as powerful upgrades like 24lb
injectors, an E-cam, roller rockers, and 1.6 pushrods. There's a
Trick Flow package that includes aluminum heads and the upper and
lower for the fuel injection. A 70MM throttle body, new belts,
braided lines, and headers feeding those side pipes complete a
powerful setup. In fact, it's estimated to be producing 400
horsepower. You have complete control over the full power package
thanks to a five-speed manual transmission and a King Cobra clutch.
Disc brakes up front, traction bars in the rear, and grippy
ZR-rated tires at each corner give you the right nimble Cobra
experience.
This Cobra is a solid all-around performer with some seriously bold
style. Don't miss this sleek Factory Five. Call today!!!
