A one-owner and loaded modern classic is what you get with this
1997 Pontiac Firebird Formula. In fact, you'll also find it
irresistible to add to the ultra-low odometer when you see that the
fuel-injected V8 power is maximized with Ram Air, and the WS6
sports suspension mixes with the six-speed transmission for an
awesome driving experience.
This one is a terrific survivor-level coupe, and it starts with the
vibrant red paint. This factory application still looks impressive
for a coupe that's approaching the quarter-century mark. The
sharply pointed front end, sleek body lines, and one of the coolest
rear spoilers around look terrific on this car's well-respected
lines. This car has a very modern style, but those bright polished
alloys give it the look of classic Americana chrome. But our
favorite classic callback is the dual hood scoops. Pontiac fans
know that the bold nose of the Ram Air scoops is a Formula
hallmark...but only the best ones got them on the Firebird's final
generation.
The taupe cloth interior is an attractive color against the
exterior red. Low mileage means little seat time, and so the
upholstery looks great and feels even better. It's easy to get
comfortable with features like cold-blowing air conditioning, power
windows, power locks, alarm, cruise control, dual front airbags,
electric rear defogger, and the premium AM/FM/cassette stereo with
a seven-band equalizer. This has a true sports car feeling with
front seats that have terrific bolstering. The steering wheel has
all your main radio functions, and it tilts to give you a clear
view to the full gauge package. And that large tach is particularly
handy on this coupe.
This a special car because the Ram Air option was a rarity with the
Formula. It means the 350 cubic-inch LT1 motor that was rated at
285 hp. And since it's such a well-preserved machine, you'll be
glad to know this is the numbers-matching fuel-injected powerhouse.
This all looks correct and properly kept, right down to the factory
decals that are still in place. In fact, the only upgrade known is
a set of GM roller rockers (and the factory rockers also come with
the sale.) But more than just a nicely preserved coupe, this
Firebird Formula was made for driving. You have complete control
over the powerful V8 and its thunderous roar thanks to the
six-speed manual transmission - another true rarity these days.
Plus, the Ram Air meant you also got the excellent WS6 upgraded
handling package. You also have power steering, ABS, and four-wheel
power disc brakes for a fine all-around driver.
The undercarriage photos show you how preserved this car is over
every inch. And a Pontiac this special also comes with the right
paperwork, including the original window sticker, dealer invoice,
owner's manual, and service manuals. This is a uniquely respected
one-owner classic, and so you don't want to miss your chance. Call
