For Sale: 1964 Dodge 330 in Concord, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

This 1964 Dodge 330 Pro Street was obviously built to be a serious track contender. built with attention to aesthetics, you'll start to see this is a looker, too. And when you do take this thundering quarter-mile machine to a car show, the build has been so thorough that you'll be putting a mirror under it!

The Dodge 330 was a great car to start with a build like this. After all, it has an interesting style that was only around for a few years. And the turbine car-inspired design already makes it look like it has Space Age power. The big power bulge of the cowl hood lets you know this has the power to get you to the moon (more on that in a moment.) The stance may be hugging the ground, but you can still clearly see the shine of the Weld-style racing wheels can't help but draw attention to the massive rear racing tires. And in the rear, the adjustable racing wing reaches out almost as far as the wheelie bar. But while the build is exceptionally mean, it's also exceptionally clean. That's because this is coming off of long-term ownership. The pro street build was a labor of love that took about five years and was completed around 2014. And with only about 150 miles put on it since then, it's why the body continues to look so good, the trim is complete, and the red paint has a quality shine. And don't forget to check out the clean undercharge. It reminds you that this might be built for plenty of track fun, but it has really yet to hit the blacktop in anger. There is even a trailer that can be made available ($10k added) and so you know that's how this one spent a lot of its time.

When you open the door, you know this is a real competition-ready machine. After all, you may have full carpeting and cloth upholstery, but it has left the days of the family car far behind. After all, the back seat has been sacrificed for less weight and so that this could be tubbed to fit that massive rear rubber. The build was done with care, and you can see that in the details. SO you not only have a comprehensive roll cage, but it's also nicely welded and color-matched to the exterior red. The seats are proper racing buckets with RCI harnesses, a Turbo Action Cheetah SCS shifter, and a Grant GT steering wheel on a removable mount. Your gauges are a full set of AutoMeter Pro-Comp units, and the essentials are on toggle switches nearly organized in an overhead box.

We won't leave you in suspense any longer about the monster motor. It's a 426 cubic-inch Hemi V8. Oh yeah...that's real Mopar muscle in this Dodge! It inhales deeply with a Race Dominator 1050R four-barrel carburetor. And those extra-long headers feed into a full custom tig welded four-inch exhaust. It's a full package estimated at 600 horsepower, and the thunder it brings will make others take notice from blocks away. This big muscle runs through a strong A727 Torqueflite three-speed with manual valve body and 3800 stall. The power is then sent to a Dana 60 Sure-Grip rear end running 4.30 gears for quick and confident take-offs. The final step to make sure all this power meets the pavement is the set of massive 33x18.5 Mickey Thompson sticky tires. The racing gear doesn't end there. This Dodge has an A-arm front end, four-link stabilized rear end, electric power steering, four-wheel adjustable coilovers, and four-wheel disc brakes. There's a racing fuel cell in the trunk, and the batteries were relocated to get as much weight over the rear wheels as possible. The custom frame also extends into the engine bay and trunk for better bracing and protection.

This Dodge is a detailed build that's so mean, it's just barely enough on the right side of the law enough to get a license plate hung on the back. Are you the one to tame it? Call now!
