Vehicle Description
This 1970 Pro-Touring Chevelle received a complete restoration and
high-dollar custom build with modern technology throughout. Power
comes from a modern electronically fuel-injected Chevy LS2 V8
engine mated to a TREMEC TKX 5-speed manual transmission linked to
a custom-made 3-inch driveshaft and a Currie 9-inch rear end fitted
with 3.50 posi-traction gears. The LS2 has been enhanced with a
Holley Performance Low-Ram intake manifold, Holley Performance fuel
rails with 42-pound injectors, Holley Performance 102mm throttle
body and a Holley Performance Mid-Mount complete accessory drive
system. The fuel system consists of a Scott's Hot Rods custom made
fuel tank with an in-tank fuel pump and Fore Innovations fuel lines
and connectors. Spent gases exit through a set of Hooker
high-performance exhaust manifolds connected to a full
stainless-steel custom exhaust. Cooled by a Cold Case radiator
system with fan shroud. Controlling everything is a Holley
Performance Terminator X stand-alone engine management system. This
Chevelle is set up for Pro-Touring with Viking coilovers front and
rear, QMI sway bars and QMI tubular control arms. It has also been
mini-tubbed with a modified chassis to accommodate the fatter rear
wheel/tire setup. Braking is courtesy of Wilwood 6-piston Forged
DynaPro 6 big brake kit up front and Wilwood Forged Dynalite brakes
in the rear. Aiding the already ample stopping power is a Wilwood
master cylinder. The inside features a full TMI interior with sport
buckets and matching rear seat, Sport R door panels, rear panels,
and center console. It also has a Dakota Digital dash, TMI
suede-style headliner and visors, and a TMI full-bound carpet kit
completes the interior. It is stunningly finished in Destroyer Gray
with black stripes, has color-matched bumpers and trim along with a
Ringbrothers outside mirror. Other niceties include Vintage Air,
LED Halo headlamps and taillamps, a Raingear hidden wiper system
mounted on a smoothed firewall, and shaved front and rear marker
lights. This Chevelle rides on Rocket Racing wheels wrapped in
Nitto tires measuring 18 inches up front and 20 inches in the rear.
