Vehicle Description
This 1996 Ford F-150 XLT has both rugged features and the best
comforts. But what you'll really love is how this V8-powered pickup
has the sharp look of a custom machine... and yet it still remains
so affordable.
The factory-correct Dark Toreador Red was given a respray later in
life to make sure this sophisticated marron-like color continues to
have a good shine. But this truck's attitude is more about
intimidation than sophistication. There's an authoritative 4x4
stance. That seems to be amplified with a windshield sun visor that
draws added attention to the HD-style top clearance lights (like
it's so tall it needs aircraft lights.) This one shines brighter
with great chrome bumpers, premium XLT trim, a full clear headlight
package, and LED light bar. Of course, the brightest shine that
will get you noticed are those 20-inch RDR polished wheels. And so
we doubt your first instinct will be about getting them muddy.
Still, it never takes away from the 4x4 prowess. In fact, this one
shows its full functional side with a proper trailer hitch, wide
towing mirrors, and a ready-to-work bed underneath the folding
tonneau.
The interior shows a loaded truck that also has some great
upgrades. It starts with a comfy cloth bench seat. When you're not
sitting three across, there's a fold-down armrest for individual
comfort. There are additional desirable features like power
windows, power locks, a sliding rear window, and cold-blowing air
conditioning. The steering wheel has an airbag and buttons for
cruise control. It's on a tilt steering column to give you a good
view of the full gauge package. This is also upgraded with some
great features for a custom truck like this. You have LED interior
lighting, including a multi-color setup below the dash. There are
also tinted windows, an AM/FM/CD stereo with Bluetooth, and a
subwoofer speaker system.
Ford's fuel-injected 5.0-liter V8 is under the hood of this rig.
Power steering, power brakes, and front discs give this truck an
everyday kind of appeal. It can even pull long-haul duty thanks to
dual fuel tanks and a three-speed automatic transmission with
highway-friendly overdrive. And of course, the same lifted stance
you love for intimidation also works great with the two-speed
transfer case to give you plenty of 4x4 ability when you want
it.
The sale comes complete with the original window sticker. So that
you can see how this one was born and really understand all the
extra work that went into this aggressive and awesome 4x4. Call
