Vehicle Description
This 1978 Chevrolet Corvette might just be the most interesting
affordable classic sports car you can get your hands on right now.
The exterior reminds you of an older survivor. But they invested
plenty in giving this incognito upgrades to a performance crate
motor, fuel injection, updated suspension, overdrive transmission,
and a loaded interior.
White is always a timeless color, and so it looks great on a
timeless classic like the C3 Corvette. This is believed to be the
original paint, and as mentioned before, it wears its age. But if
you're a Corvette fan, you understand the priority put on
originality. It's the same reason why you'll cherish the special
25th anniversary badge up front. And for those who are not quite
into survivor style, the body is in an impressive overall
condition. So the value price lets you create a stunner with a
quality respray if you so desire. Plus, those modern intro wheels
and red brake calipers peeking out from behind let everyone know
that there have been some big investments inside.
The hint of red on the caliper gives you a preview of the full red
interior. This is the factory-correct color, and you see a lot of
originality. But they also mixed it in with the right comfortable
upgrades. This includes new leather seat covers, cup holders, an
AM/FM/CD stereo, and bright new under dash lighting. The factory
air conditioning has even been converted to modern R134a
refrigerant (it likely just needs a recharge to blow ideally cold
again.) And this is loaded with the best factory features like
power windows, a rear defogger, power steering, a tilt steering,
column, full gauges with a large speedo and tach. And of course, we
all love a C3 Corvette with T-tops.
Under the hood is an obvious upgrade. The fuel injection system
makes this one look more like a C4 Corvette. Plus, beneath it is a
ZZ4 performance crate motor (the motor was installed in 1999, and
the odometer represents the full actual mileage of the body.)
You'll even notice more desirable additions, like a BBK Power Plus
throttle body, an aluminum radiator, and electric fans. Not only is
this a more powerful Corvette, but it's also a sharper handler. The
fully-independent suspension has been upgraded with stronger boxed
front control arms, TRW composite transverse rear spring, and a kit
to lower the stance in the rear if so desired. The four-wheel power
disc brakes system was upgraded with an SSBC kit and steel braided
lines. And no matter if you want this Corvette for its extra power
or grand touring, the upgrade to a 700R4 four-speed automatic
transmission with overdrive is always welcomed.
The sale comes with tilt documentation and a stack of receipts
documenting thousands $$$$ in great care and investments in
upgrades over the years. So while the affordable price could let
you take this car to the next level, you already see how cool it is
to have this much performance disguised in quite an original
package. Don't let something this distinct slip away, call
today!
