For Sale: 1977 Chevrolet Malibu Classic in Concord, California
Affordable classic! Light yellow exterior with light buckskin cloth
interior. 350 V8 with automatic transmission. I got the car from
the second owner who purchased the car from the original female
owner in 1999 with 48k miles. When he bought the car he had it
repainted in the original color due to fading. He decided to go the
hot rod route and have the engine pulled and upgraded with an
Edelbrock kit that included aluminum heads, aluminum intake, cam,
and carburetor. The car also has smog legal headers, smog pump, and
a catalytic converter to make it smog legal.
The body is incredibly clean as well as the original interior with
a dash with no cracks. Original AM radio works great. The previous
owner also added the Torq-Thrust rims which look great. The car was
sold new at Fitzpatrick Chevrolet in Concord, Ca. During those
upgrades he did remove the underhood A/C components. I do believe
the 55k miles is accurate as the car has been in storage. A couple
of years ago he pulled the car out of storage and took the car to
his mechanic to have it checked out. It ended up having a head
gasket leak due to sitting. He had the head gaskets changed as well
as a tune-up and had the transmission rebuilt (receipts available).
The car runs and drives excellent. Clean California title in hand.
The best part is you probably won't park next to another at your
next car show!
