For Sale: 1970 Chevrolet Nova in Palmetto, Florida

Vehicle Description

1970 Chevrolet Nova

Why This Vehicle is Special

The 1970 Chevrolet Nova we have at Skyway Classics finally became simply the Chevrolet Nova this year after two years of transitional nameplates. Out of 254,242 Novas sold for 1970, 19,558 were the SS 350 or SS 396 version.
This Nova has had a complete restoration and still retains what we believe is the original drivetrain from the 396 big block back to a 12-bolt rear end.

Mechanical

The motor in our Nova is a 396 cubic inch Big Block Chevy V8 that has been seriously restored to look just as it would have when it left the factory back then.

It has the correct Chevrolet orange paint on the block and heads, aluminum intake, performance Holley carb, correct factory chrome open element air Cleaner and valve covers, factory cast iron exhaust headers, with all new hoses and lines, spark plug wires, and sits in a well detailed engine compartment.

The transmission is a 4-Speed and it has a chrome Hurst shifter with a white shifter ball. The Nova also has power steering and power brakes for upgraded handling and safety.

It has a performance 12-bolt rear end, dual exhaust, and performance whitewall radial tires and chrome factory SS 5 spoke mag wheels.

Interior

The black twin front bucket seat with rear bench seat interior looks as it came off the show room floor and is complimented by the dash with its array of factory gauges and Tic Tok gauges on the console, black carpet and Chevrolet logo floor mats, black door panels with wood grain, and the black console.

Exterior

Our Nova has great Copper colored paint flowing over the muscular Nova body with black racing stripes cove4ing the cowl induction hood, SS Emblems all around, the blacked out grill, great chrome trim and chrome bumpers, as well as the black vinyl top that sets it off.

Conclusion

The 1970 Chevrolet Nova we have at Skyway Classics is a great car that not only has the look of a great period Muscle Car, but all the engine and performance to back it up. These 396 big block cars were fast and feared when they were new, and this one will win not only trophies at the shows, but many races too (at the track of course!)
