This is a great looking deluxe rumble seat roadster. These are fun
cars. Hearing the put put of the motor, blowing the aooga horn,
climbing up into the the rumble seat is a good time.
This one was claimed to have 5,000 original miles but there is no
way to verify. Overall it's a good car. It appears to be very
authentic.
EXTERIOR: What a great looking deluxe roadster. It makes a good
impression but it's not pristine. It has dual side mount wheels,
swing out chrome windshield, etched glass wing windows, cowl lights
and a trunk rack with a trunk. It has solid metal body and fenders,
no signs of rust. Beautiful color combination of Washington blue,
medium blue body lines and black fenders with a Tacoma cream
pinstripe. The paint job presents itself very well but has signs of
age. The 6 wire wheels are painted Tacoma cream with Ford script
center caps. They all have whitewalls, the 4 on the ground look
recent. Upfront is a new quail hood ornament, Ford script
headlights, a 1930 license plate and an original Spartan Aooga
horn. The bumpers are real nice. The convertible top has a little
discoloration but it's not ripped. It's cloth with brown bound
edges. It has a full set of matched side curtains too. The
convertible top frame is also restored.
INTERIOR: Genuine leather on the seat. All the upholstered panels
are real, it has pockets in the kick panels. The instrument bezel
is real nice chrome. The speedometer, gas gauge and amp gauge work.
No cracks in the steering wheel. Cool blue swirled shifter ball. It
also has a beveled mirror with a clock that works (as long as you
wind it!).
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The 4 cylinder runs good, no knocking. The vin
# matches the title. The generator was upgraded with an
alternator.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: That's not a trunk, it's a rumble seat!
Reupholstered seat and side walls. It has a rubber mat on the
floor.
UNDERSIDE: Overall it looks clean and proper. Solid metal floor.
The components are clean and painted black. It has correct exhaust.
The bottom of the motor is clean, the 3-speed trans is painted.
This 91 year old car has some patina and character. It's not a new
restoration but it looks great. It will put smiles on faces!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a
particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car.
Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the
