For Sale: 1969 Pontiac GTO in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

Stunning color combination! This GTO was completely taken apart, the body was off the frame and it was restored. It is loaded with appeal and options.

EXTERIOR: The body is arrow straight, the panels fit real nicely. Here's the amazing part- it was done in 1996! 25 year old paint and it's held up remarkably well, especially being black. I don't see any significant issues. It has a mirror finish. The rubber nose has no damage, there are a couple hairline cracks in the paint. The grills are in real nice shape. The windshield was replaced, the trim around it's been polished. It has a factory power antenna. In back the rear bumper was rechromed. Tail lights are good, not new. The black convertible power top is real nice shape. The invoices lists new hinge assemblys, door latch assembly, and window regulators. It has rally ll wheels with correct trim, caps and lug nuts. The weatherstrips and window seals were all replaced.

INTERIOR: Not only is the pearl white outstanding against the black but it also stays much cooler. New cushions, upholstery, headrests and chrome on the seats. It has complete set of GM seat belts. Down on the floor the carpet looks new. It has in GTO embroidered mats. The dash pad is in really good shape except for a few small cracks. The instrument panel is real nice, it's not broken or cut up. It has an AM-FM stereo with 8-track player. There is a stereo hidden in the glove box and custom kick panels with speakers. It also has a deluxe steering wheel on a tilt column.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The 400 was upgraded with a 455 motor that was bored to a 468. It has a performance cam, good heads, polished aluminum intake, Edelbrock carb with electric choke. On top of that is a factory ram air system. It also features factory air conditioning that's retrofitted to R134 freon. It also has power steering and power brakes. The engine bay is all painted smooth and glossy. It looks like it was all apart and restored. The hardware was replaced, the heater box was restored.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Perfectly clean metal and the spatter paint was sprayed from a gun and it looks like the original. The well liner and weatherstrip was replaced. It has a spare.

UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame and the chassis was completely taken apart. The front steering and suspension was completely rebuilt. Bushings, springs, balljoints, tie rods, center link was replaced. It has a fat chrome swaybar. In back the bushings, shocks and hardware were replaced. It has a chrome swaybar. It also has upgraded coil over shocks. The dual exhaust has Flowmaster mufflers and stainless tips. The brake system was completely rebuilt. It has disc in front, the e-brake assembly is hooked up. The fuel system was replaced including tank, straps and sending unit. Looking up at the motor it's super clean. It has a Turbo 400 automatic trans with a chrome pan. In back it has it's original 3.23 posi rear with a chrome cover. The frame and floors are clean solid metal that was prepped and painted. Satin black floors and semi gloss chassis. Several parts look like the have a zinc finish.

Restored out in California in 1996. It was part of a multiple car collection the last 15 years. He kept it stored and rarely used it. So it's not brand new but I can tell it was restored right. It still looks amazing!
