We have what we believe to be a very original Aqua 1965 Mustang
here at Skyway Classics verified by the Trim Tag that shows it was
a V8 Mustang and built with this color from the factory. It even
has a lot of the original paperwork, Owners Cars, and other
original documents that the owner has saved in a binder.
These first generation Mustangs shocked the buying public when they
first came out and were a sensation with the styling that other
manufacturers tried to copy with their Camaro, Firebird, Cougar and
others.
Mechanical
Our Mustang has the C-Code engine which was a 289 cubic inch engine
with 200 horsepower and still looks as fresh as it did back then
with its gold painted air cleaner assembly and valve covers on the
painted engine, correct hoses and wires, with the engine sitting in
a painted and detailed engine compartment all backed up by the
3-speed transmission.
The engine has been rebuilt within the last 500 miles and it has
power brakes.
Interior
It has a white twin front bucket seat Mustang interior with
matching rear seat, Aqua floor mats with Mustang logos, Aqua
carpet, white door panels, factory dash with all the correct
factory gauges, radio, radio, 4-speed chrome shifter on the floor,
great aluminum trim and shiny sill plates, and 3-spoke white
Mustang steering wheel.
The white vinyl top looks great as well as the detailed trunk with
its grey mat, spare tire and cover.
Exterior
The 1965 color of Tropical Turquoise on our Mustang is like new and
is complimented by all good chrome, 289 and Mustang emblems,
correct Ford Mustang spoke styled wheel covers, whitewall tires,
great bumpers, and the great looking white top.
Conclusion
This 1965 Tropical Turquoise Mustang Convertible we have here at
Skyway Classics is a super looking Mustang with a lot of
originality, great color combo, super dependable Mustang, spotless
interior, and that C Code 289 Mustang High Performance engine to
boot.
This car is all original with the factory build sheet, original
owners warranty card and registration. Motor was rebuilt 500 miles
ago. It is one of the best restored Mustangs we have ever had.
