Vehicle Description
1982 Jeep CJ Scrambler A car is only original once. In the sea of
custom and over restored Jeeps this Scrambler stands out from miles
away. Inarguably the most original Scrambler out there in the best
color combo, black over tan. With less then 8000 units produced in
1982, they are getting really hard to find specially in this
condition. 89k miles on the working odometer, 5 speed manual
transmission. With its original paint and decals this Scrambler
sure knows how to turn heads. This Jeep spent all his life in
California. It still has both original blue plates. The body is
straight, no rust anywhere just amazing patina. Never painted, the
bed is all original with no dings, the wood side panels are original
and further add to the Scramblers character. Dealer installed old
school Warn winch gives it even a tougher look. I do have the
original Marchal fog lights that it came with, including the hard
to find plastic covers. The interior is a conversation piece on
it's own. First thing you'll notice its the original upholstery on
the factory 60/40 bench seat. Yes, this Scrambler is a 3 seater,
with lap belt for the 3rd person. The dash is original and uncut,
still ahs the original radio and the original ashtray. All the
gauges work properly, odometer currently showing just 89k miles.
There's a modern blutooth radio installed under the dash. Behind
the seat there's a stealth alpine sub with an amp. The center
console has a custom made cupholder installed. Again, nothing has
been cut. In the bed there's a black aluminum lockable tool box
installed. While an effort was made to preserve or try to keep
everything as original as possible, there are some reliability and
period correct modifications done to the Jeep. It has a 4'' lift
with new shocks and bushings. 4 brand new BFG tires on the factory
wheels. Under the hood is nice and presentable. A Howell TBI fuel
injection system was installed, with check engine light and OBD
reader in the cabin.
