This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 convertible has everything you
love in an upper-echelon muscle car. It has growling power from the
numbers-matching big block power, the control of four-on-the-floor,
and true drop-top rarity. And it has an awesome factory red-on-red
style that's fully showcased thanks to being fresh off a
decade-long restoration.
We're told the restoration on this car is extremely fresh, but all
you have to do is take one look at it to know. This may have been
born a Cranberry red car, but the gloss and shine it gives off
today lets you this is a recent professional application. In fact,
the consignor is a paint and body professional, so you know this
car is going to have amazing panels that are butter-smooth to the
touch. The black SS stripes have even been cleared in with this
paintwork. They join the blacked-out grille and blacked-out rear
panel to create a subtle two-tone. So this color theme only gets

as receipts for the pistons and crankshaft. It has also been
enhanced with components like an Edelbrock AVS2 four-barrel
carburetor, an Edelbrock aluminum intake, Pertronix Flame Thrower
III coil, and headers feeding the dual exhaust. And you'll love how
the four-speed manual transmission gives you full control over this
muscular V8 and its rumbling soundtrack. Power steering, power
brakes, and front discs front make the drive nice. And you even
have proper Super Sport suspension with the limited-slip 12-bolt
rear end, boxed suspension arms, and a rear sway bar.
