Vehicle Description
This 1980 Chevrolet C10 Resto-Mod pickup in Bonanza trim was
restored to its original condition with modern upgrades for
drivability. This fresh frame-off build on an Oklahoma truck
features a professional repaint in original Dark Camel with a
neutral two-tone and Almond cloth seat with a new headliner, new
dash pad, complete array of Dakota Digital gauges, ice-cold Vintage
Air, original AM/FM Stereo Delco radio and aluminum dash trim.
Other features include new weatherstripping, emblems (including the
hard-to-find BONANZA fender insignia), turn signal lens, grille,
Silverado trim pieces that separate the two-tone paint, chrome
bumpers and glass. The original glove box is still present and
includes the factory Service Parts Identification sticker,
featuring the correct VIN, which breaks down equipment, options and
colors, verifying the original factory hues. The original Chevrolet
305ci engine and automatic transmission have been upgraded to a
modern Corvette LS V8 engine mated to a built 4L60E 4-speed
automatic transmission. The 12-bolt rear end was rebuilt and fitted
with 3.42 gears. The C10 features a lowered stance, and new body
mounts and bushings are present, along with modern shocks, CPP
tubular A-arms up front and modular rod spindles. With increased
performance comes the necessity for modern stopping power, and this
pickup is equipped with high-tech CPP disc brakes and huge slotted
rotors on all four corners. The beautiful Ridler alloy 18-inch
front and 20-inch rear wheels are wrapped in directional Nitto
high-performance radial tires. Highly desirable classic pickups
with modern running gear are some of the fastest appreciating
vehicles anywhere. The Bonanza package is a spin on the "Bonanza"
television show with Ben, Hoss, Adam and Little Joe. Chevrolet was
the main sponsor of the program and for many years released a
limited amount of Special Trim and Package combinations to "spur"
sales of some cars and trucks. Finding an original example with the
special Bonanza emblems is difficult, as most have been removed or
destroyed. This is one of the original, short-wheelbase Bonanza
trucks, completely restored and modified with modern automotive
technology. **TITLE IN TRANSIT**
