Vehicle Description
The Mustang needs no introduction as it is probably one of the most
recognizable classics on the road today. It is also Fords longest
running nameplate to this day. It began production in the middle of
1964 and even though they were introduced before the start of the
1965 model year, all but a few were VINumbered and titled as 1965
Mustangs. Ford built over 1 Million of them in just two years, so
to say they were popular was a huge understatement. This beautiful
driver quality example is finished in Guardsman blue that has been
repainted at some point in its life over what appears to be the
original "pony" interior of white crinkle and blue. It has the 289
Cubic Inch V8 mated to the fun to drive 3-speed manual
transmission. The nice thing about this car is that back in 2001
the car went under a full mechanical engine and transmission out
rebuild with all the receipts to prove it. In fact, the underside
of the engine and trans look new. Everything from a full engine
rebuild to fuel system, brakes, suspension and the list goes on.
Even though it was done twenty years ago, the car has only had just
over 2500 miles put on the car in that time. This Mustang starts
easily, idyles perfectly immediately and goes down the road as it
should. The convertible top is manual and operates easily with one
person. It is free of any damage with the back window being a
little hazy as to be expected. This car is being sold by the sons
of the owner who bought this car back in 1997. If you request
