Vehicle Description
"Ford goes first for '57 with a whole new world of magic in the
revolutionary Fairlane 500 series... There's a new kind of fine-car
prestige that goes with this new kind of Ford"
- Ford Advertisement (1957)
This 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Sedan is in very good condition with
only 6,127 miles since a full restoration. The Silver Metallic and
Burgundy two-tone paint with gold anodized sides matches the
two-tone custom leather interior. This Fairlane was originally sold
in Birmingham, Alabama and spent much of its life in central
Florida.
The original 292ci V8 engine was replaced with the mightier 245hp,
312ci "Thunderbird" Special 8. The Ford-O-Matic automatic
transmission shifts well and allows for a smooth drive while
displacing power to the 3.10 rear-end. This Fairlane was produced
with many factory options such as the turn signals, dual mirrors,
inside hood release, rear skirts, and deluxe wheel covers. The
correct Coker Radials have plenty of tread remaining. The vacuum
wipers have been converted to electric and work well.
The original owners-manual, original sales forms, and insurance
forms can be seen online and are included with the car.
This 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 is ready to be packed with friends and
family and take off for a long cruise down some of America's
classic roads.
