Vehicle Description
1950 Chevrolet Model 4400 ou don't see these everyday! These Model
4400 series trucks are very hard to come by, especially in this
condition! The body and paint are in very good condition. The metal
is solid and seems to be all original body panels. The paint finish
is near show quality, it's not perfect, but it presents itself very
well. The truck bed and side rails have been restored to a very
original looking condition. The quality and craftsmanship were
superb. The frame amp undercarriage are once again, well preserved
and restored for a 68 year old vehicle. Everything seems to be in
good mechanical condition. The engine appears to be original to the
truck and although I didn't hear it run on the day of the
appraisal, I was told by the owner that it ran and drove with no
issues. The glass is all intact and in very good condition. The
tires and wheels are period correct and are in very good condition
as well. The interior was restored to a period correct look and is
in very good condition. The instrument panel still retains its
original appearance. All electrical components of this vehicle are
original and all in working order. The suspension is original to
the vehicle with the exception of any suspension parts that were
replaced in the past due to normal wear and tear. Under the hood,
things remained practically the same as before, with the light
trucks housing in standard Chevrolet Six of 216 cubic inches and 90
horsepower, while the heavy duty models had the exclusive truck
engine of 235 cubic inches and 93 horsepower. This is an
exceptionally clean truck that you definitely don't see too often.
