1963 Mercury Comet S22 Convertible This is another one in my
collection that I hate to part with, but I just don't have the
garage space for it. It's a beautiful and pretty rare, 1963 Mercury
Comet S22 Convertible that's really in very good condition. It's
been in the same family since 1965!! It received a body on
restoration back in 1981. The chrome and trim were all
professionally refinished to show quality. The paint is J code
Carnival Red. The finish is not show quality but still very
presentable. The interior is all original and in good condition.
The front bucket seats (especially the driver side) should be
recovered. The carpet is in great condition. The power convertible
top works great and is in excellent condition. The undercarriage is
still solid with just one small spot by the driver foot area that
might need some attention. I haven't done any detailing to the
engine bay. I just recently had all the brakes gone through and
adjusted, new fuel filter, oil filter and all fluids changed (even
rear differential). Currently, everything works except the horn.
The 170 cu. in. straight-six runs strong and the three speed manual
transmission shifts just fine. It also has a 3.50:1 factory rear
end ratio too! I have lots of receipts and the original and
registered owner's manual and new complete shop manual. I even
still have the original keys with the key code! The trunk area is
all original and super clean. This S22 Convertible would make a
great Resto-Mod or Pro-Touring car or just leave it all original
and enjoy it. It gets a lot of attention where ever I go. Please
