Vehicle Description
The 1986 Cadillac Seville is a truly premium machine. It was built
to compete with the Europeans while still not losing its Cadillac
style. They were made to be special cars, and so that's why it's
terrific to find an ultra-low mile example that is coming off of
long-term ownership. It makes for a loaded luxury Caddy that has
true pedigree and poise.
The story we're told is that this one was purchased from the owner
of Keyser Cadillac, and this one even still has the Keyser badge on
the back. It was only a few years only and very few miles. Plus,
you just know the boss's car gets the best care. And from that
point on it has never left the next family. The consignor's son
describes the level of care his father gave to this Caddy,
including storing it in a climate-controlled garage for many years
and only taking it out about 100 miles annually (that's how the
odometer remains so low.) The level of preservation is so superb
that the largest marks you'll likely find on the factory Light
Driftwood finish is from washing and waxing.
The consignor described how his father took immaculate care, right
down to buying aftermarket floor mats to preserve the factory
carpets and mats. And when it comes to the upholstery, the tan
leather interior has the look, smell, and supple feel of a time
capsule. This is loaded with all the best features, including power
windows, power locks, cup holders, the premium, AM/FM/cassette
stereo, and automatic A/C climate control. Because this was built
to rival the driver's car from Europe, you have individual front
bucket seats that power adjust, a center console, a tilt steering
column, and the cool glow of the digital gauges. The
front-wheel-drive and rear wheels set far back make for exceptional
interior room for a mid-size cruiser. The wheelbase also gave it a
far more confident ride than other cars of its size. So while you
know this one is a looker with some history, also take some time to
appreciate the engendering behind the beauty.
Under the hood is the original 4.1-liter motor. This fuel-injected
V8 can make a little growl when you feel like digging into the
accelerator, but really, we love this for how it retains its
classic Cadillac quiet composure during everyday driving. The
four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive gives it great
off-the-line response and pleasant highway manners. And cruise
control means this classic Caddy remains a great long-distance
tourer. Plus, the driver's car feeling is in here with desirable
grand touring features like a fully independent suspension and
four-wheel power disc brakes.
A special car like this needs the right paperwork, and so the sale
comes complete with the factory buildsheet, original warranty card,
owner's manual, maintenance records, and more. This is the premium
Caddy with awesome survivor care. A cherished classic like this is
rarely so affordable. Don't miss out, call today!
