Vehicle Description
This 1971 Chevrolet Corvette is a numbers-matching car, but even
from the first impression, you can tell there's something a bit
more going on here than just stock. The full package takes the
classic you love and adds some cool details to create a car that's
both unique and powerful. Best of all, you get it for a value
price.
There is something that immediately catches your eye on this car.
Corvette fans know that 1971 was still in the chrome front-end
years, but this one was updated to the later color-matched style.
The front fenders were updated, too. This retains the chrome rear,
and so it's similar to the '73 car's exclusive style. Except there
are still classic details, like the Corvette racing flag badge
leading the way. It makes for a nice talking piece that doesn't
stray from the full Stingray family line. After all, everyone loves
a Corvette finished in red. And this also will always have the best
C3 pieces, like the long and pointed front end, beautifully formed
fenders, and rear styling that has both flying buttresses and an
integrated rear spoiler.
The black interior looks good against the red. It's a
driver-oriented environment with bucket seats, a center console,
and a grippy sports steering wheel. There are good features like
power windows, a tilt/telescopic steering column, and upgraded
auxiliary readouts under the dash. Plus, you also have provisions
for an upgraded radio and factory air conditioning (they will need
servicing to fully function again.) The T-tops come out, and this
was one of the last years for the removable rear window that gives
you a convertible-like breeze through the interior. Don't forget
that Chevy's 1973 update eliminated the removable rear window. So
you have a unique situation where this one looks like the '73 with
the color-matched front end, but you still get the full
wind-in-your-hair experience whenever you want.
Under the hood is the numbers-matching 350 cubic-inch V8. It has
been given some added investment in flair with the bright air
grabber and attractive valve covers with cursive Corvette script.
But really, the best money spent was on added performance. This has
a new Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock Performer RPM
intake, and headers feeding the stainless dual exhaust. The motor
starts eagerly, idles nicely, and runs well. Plus, the TH400
three-speed automatic is also the numbers-matching transmission.
It's a stout unit that also shifts smoothly. The power steering,
four-wheel power disc brakes, and fully independent sports
suspension make it easy to enjoy this Corvette to the fullest.
Complete with owner's manual, this is a bright red Stingray with a
unique style and an attractive price. So you know it's a classic
that won't stay here long. Call now!
