PuristThis 1984 Mercedes-Benz 230CE has 70k original miles and is a
grey-market Euro example imported to the US when new by it's
original and only southern California owner. While US-market w123
coupes were only available with turbodiesel engines in 1984, the
230CE was powered by a gasoline 2.3L M102 fuel-injected
inline-four. The 2.3L M102 inline-four is the same engine used in
87-93 190E 2.3 models and features Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection
and was rated at 136hp when new with around 24 mpg average.West
Coast Classics are proud to present a superb and all original
example of this US imported example of a 1984 Mercedes-Benz 230 CE
Coupe in beautiful condition throughout in it's original factory
'Lapis Blue Metallic' (color code 932) color paint with a matching
all original and virtually completely flawless and as new 'Blue'
cloth interior and with a very well, almost overly well, maintained
service history with only one southern California owner since new
and 70K original miles in turn-key ready driving condition! The car
was obviously always garaged and the original factory 'Lapis Blue
Metallic' color paint is in exceptional condition as is the
original 'Blue' cloth interior. The car's factory options include
2.3L 4 cylinder engine with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection,
automatic transmission, electric sliding sunroof, power assisted
steering, power assisted four wheel disc brakes, tinted glass,
cruise control, electric window lifts, electrically heated rear
window, fully independent suspension, power assisted four wheel
disc brakes, anti-lock brakes, automatic antenna, automatic air
conditioning with climate control, anti-theft, central locking amp;
Becker Grand Prix Cassette/Radio.In 1984 the car was purchased new
in Germany by its original and only southern California owner and
the car has always been extraordinarily well maintained and
serviced over the years since primarily only at Mercedes dealers or
independent specialists with literally thousands and thousands of
dollars spent in preventive maintenance over recent years to ensure
trouble free driving today. The car was recently serviced at the
renown Mercedes independent specialists 'Malibu Motors' of Santa
Monica, CA at 70,104 miles where the car received a new battery,
had the A/C system evacuated and recharged, the fuel sending unit
was replaced, amp; 4 new tires were installed with alignment. The
car therefore drives exactly like such a well maintained and
serviced Mercedes should and must be seen and driven to be truly
appreciated. The engine is extremely strong and responsive, the
transmission shifts smoothly through the gears and the temperature
always remains cool. All the power options are working as they
should including the sunroof and all 4 windows. The car comes with
its original owners manuals, spare wheel and factory tools.Without
doubt, this is one of the finest cars commuter cars made by
Mercedes-Benz, obviously rare and hard to find a model available
here in the US, and now becoming more desirable and collectible
than ever before - certainly you will look long and hard to find a
finer head-turning example of an original southern California owner
car with 70K original miles or indeed a more well maintained and
always dealer or independent specialist serviced car at this price
anywhere else!
