West Coast Classics are proud to present a beautiful example of
this true original southern California survivor 'Little old lady
from Santa Barbara" rust free 1966 Ford Mustang 2 door hardtop with

'Black Vinyl amp; Black Rosette Vinyl' Interior Trim with Bucket
Seats, original C4 automatic transmission, 2.80:1 rear axle, built
on 7/1 in the first year of production, and boasting it's original
California 1960's issued 'Black License Plates' amp; original
factory spare wheel.Ford's biggest success of the sixties and the
originator of the 'Pony car' concept was essentially a sporty
compact car but with a now legendary long hood and short deck
proportions, built on Falcon and Fairlane chassis and drive-train
components, the Ford Mustang was introduced in April 1964 as '65
models and within a year became the fastest selling car of all
time; with these early production cars now carrying special favor
and becoming fondly known as 64 1/2 models by Mustang enthusiasts!
The upgraded V8 from the Falcon six cylinder engine was the 260
c.i. V8 produced on the same assembly line with other 1964 Fords,
these early models were titled as 1965 models although they were
actually from the 1964 production era. After September 1964 the 260
V8 was dropped in favor of the larger 289 V8.Recently purchased
from the family of the original 'Little Old Lady from Santa
Barbara' owners and obviously always well kept, always garaged and
looked after and mostly all original apart from one repaint in it's
original 'Sahara Beige' color. The car has factory power steering
and must be driven to be fully appreciated - the engine is
extremely strong and responsive with excellent oil pressure and no
noticeable oil leaks and the transmission shifts smoothly through
the gears and the engine temperature always remains cool. The car is
still very striking with one very professional and still absolutely
presentable repaint in it's original 'Sahara Beige' factory color
paint and the original 'Black Rosetta Vinyl' standard interior is
still in fabulous condition with no noticeable flaws and a steering
wheel and an original dashboard that looks as it must have when it
left the factory floor over 55 years ago! They are only original
once as they say and this is is one very fine example of this very
collectible and desirable original southern California owners first
generation model of the legendary Ford Mustang in turn-key ready
daily appreciating, daily driving and daily head-turning
condition! You will look long and harder to find a finer example of
this highly sought after original southern California 'black
license plate' 1966 first generation Mustang, a true 'time capsule'
if there ever was one!Data Plate Codes: 65A-H-26-01G-71-6-6.
