MAXmotive is pleased to offer this exceptionally well-documented
and well cared for 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS T-top Sport Coupe.
First of all, it's fully optioned as shown on the original window
sticker. The option boxes were checked for not just the T-tops, but
also air conditioning, power windows, and the AM Stereo/FM Stereo
radio with cassette and graphic equalizer. Other amenities include
the cloth bucket seats with center console, power windows and
locks, cruise control, and tilt wheel. The car presents as original
right down to the aluminum wheels. The US-sourced Grand Am tires
are reminiscent of the original outline white letter radials, but
these are bigger 245/60R15s. It sports the High Output 5.0 4-bbl
V8, 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission, and the optional
limited slip rear with 3.73 gears. Included also is a large binder
containing a treasure trove of technical information, history
documentation, photos, and service and parts receipts. Along with
that is a box with Chevrolet service manuals and instructional
material including a book on auto detailing. This is quite
literally an encyclopedia of car care. Even winterization is
covered. It would indeed provide great reading material when you're
not driving. The History section begins with "The Monte Carlo SS
came into production as a direct result of Chevrolet's desire to
win in NASCAR. After much testing and wind tunnel work, the new
Monte Carlo SS was born." Clearly, this vehicle was treated as a
collectible or future collectible since its initial purchase. Now
this 1987 Monte Carlo SS presents a golden opportunity to own one
of Chevrolet's last full-frame RWD muscle cars. See detailed photos
