SERVICED AND DETAILED Following the 1961-63 Bullet Bird, the
fourth-generation 1964-66 Ford Thunderbird lineup was informally
known as the Flair Bird or Glamor Bird for good reason, sporting
handsome, all-new styling. Some innovations intended for the new
Thunderbird line were delayed for the launch year and only reached
production by 1965, including standard front disc brakes and
eye-catching sequential rear turn-signal indicators, which finally
overcame approval delays in certain states. Thunderbird sales
remained strong, despite significant internal competition from the
newly introduced Mustang after mid-1964. Jet Age styling cues,
especially inside, set the 1964-66 Thunderbirds apart from the
competition and continue to captivate enthusiasts and collectors
today. As always, the Thunderbird offered plenty of power and
delivered effortless cruising with the standard 4-barrel 390 CI V-8
engine uprated to 315 horsepower for 1966.A compelling, highly
original example, this 1966 Ford Thunderbird hardtop sports one
concours level repaint in the original, factory-specified Code M
White over original Trim Code 42 Blue upholstery. In addition to
its fabulous aircraft-inspired design cues including overhead
controls, this very fine 1966 Thunderbird is well equipped and
optioned with an AM radio, power window lifts, power brakes, power
steering, power drivers seat, reclining passenger seat, rare
factory air conditioning, swiveling steering rack and front disc
brakes. A 315-horsepower 390 CI V-8 engine provides effortless
cruising in concert with the Thunderbirds standard Cruise-O-Matic
automatic transmission and highway-friendly 3.00:1 rear axle. Also
included is the original data sheet. A recent test drive confirms
this Thunderbirds excellent driving experience to match its great
appearance and overall quality. Contact us and come see it for
