This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS tribute has a stylish red and black
theme inside and out. And with a strong crate V8 under that cowl
hood, this is a great way to enjoy an icon.
Bright red paint and shining chrome bumpers are a great way to show
off the first-ever Camaro. It is an overall driver-quality style
because this is a car that was made to be driven. The Rally Sport's
hidden headlight panel is practically an icon all on its own (the
light doors are currently manually operated.). It also kicks off a
nice black that's continued on the D91 bumblebee stripe and the
added full-length pinstriping. The deep chin spoiler, D90 rear
spoiler, and Rally wheels are all part of the sports car package.
Plus, the aggressive cowl hood that came from the '69 Camaro clue
people in how this one has a little extra kick of performance.
The interior was changed from gold to a muscle car friendly black.
So not only do you get a nice complementing color to the exterior
accents, but also it feels far fresher feeling on fundamentals like
the upholstery, dash pad, door panels, and carpeting. And we like
how the exterior red returns for accenting on the metal parts of
the doors and dash. It gives this a well-coordinated style inside
and out that will have you leaving down the windows on this
pillarless hardtop so people can see it all. There are great
vintage pieces, like the low-back Strato bucket seats, classically
thin three-spoke sports steering wheel, and a center console with a
horseshoe shifter. There are also the right upgrades for a great
driver like the auxiliary gauge trio placed high on the dash and an
AM/FM/CD stereo that gives you modern driving music.
The slick black nature of the engine bay's inner walls instantly
funnel all your attention to the bright V8 sitting in the middle.
More than just a tidy and shiny setup, this is a fresher 350
cubic-inch crate motor. It has been enhanced with an Edelbrock
four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer EPS intake, and long
tube headers that feed a rumbling dual exhaust. The three-speed
automatic transmission has a stall on it to let you utilize the
power when you really want it, and also offers easy automatic
shifting for cruising. Power steering, power brakes, front discs,
and wide BF Goodrich T/As make for a solid driving package.
This is the red first-year Camaro that was made for fun. So don't
